Good News For Graham Owners (1 Viewer)

I was a little worried about a 3 headed RBBC this year, but I think Graham will only lose some 3rd down passing situations to Dunn.

From Rotoworld:

Michael Bennett-RB-Buccaneers Sep. 7 - 12:05 pm et

Along with WR Michael Clayton, the Bucs declared RB Michael Bennett, LB Geno Hayes, G Davin Joseph, T James Lee, DE Greg Peterson, QB Josh Johnson and QB Luke McCown inactive for Week 1 against the Saints.

Bennett was right earlier this week when he guessed that he wouldn't be playing much this season, because he's not even dressing for the opener. Warrick Dunn will back up Earnest Graham. With McCown and Johnson inactive, Brian Griese backs up Jeff Garcia.

I was pissed when I looked at the box score and play-by-play. Graham gets 10 carries in the first three quarters to the tune of 90+ yards and then none in the 4th while Dunn gets more action as the game wears on.Sources are saying now that Gruden wants to get Graham more carries seeing how well he played this weekend....so WTF did Gruden see in the game film that he didn't see in the first three quarters from the sideline?

Only thing I could think of is that Gruden was worried about condition issues with Graham only playing one preseason game. As an owner, I didn't like seeing Dunn get so many carries.

From Rotoworld:Earnest Graham-RB- Buccaneers Sep. 9 - 12:33 pm et

Buccaneers' coach Jon Gruden said the team needs to find more touches for Earnest Graham after he racked up 91 yards on 10 carries Sunday.

"We have to give it to him more," he said, adding that Graham ran "extremely well." Warrick Dunn saw a significant number of carries in the second half Sunday, so Graham owners would no doubt find it a welcome sight if Gruden makes good on his claim.

Seriously, Graham looked real good against the Saints. He runs with authority. Not only did he out produce Dunn with almost the same amount of carries he caught 3 passes to Dunn's 1 which is a good sign. He has the make up of a complete back. Graham is in for a good season.
