Good RB to target with a trade package of Abdullah / Parker? (1 Viewer)

0.5 PPR, 12-team

My RBs: Cook, TyMo, Marshawn, Abdullah

My WRs: Michael Thomas, Hopkins, Diggs, DeVante Parker,  Golladay, Sanu

Looking to package Abdullah and Parker to get an upgrade at RB - who are a couple guys you would target with this trade package?

Zeke or Fournette maybe as targets but if I owned them I would pass unless my team was really hurting.  I would really just hang with what you have. Or if you are in the trading mood I would try to package Golladay and Sanu for a better player, maybe see if you can buy low on Cobb, Baldwin or get a RB like Carson or JStewart for them.

Let's be real Abdullah gets no passing work or red zone work. He isn't a rb2 you would want to have to start each week. Asking for a rb1 with Parker and Abdullah is not a good offer

He had 3 catches for 39 yards last week, and has just as many red zone carries this season (4) as guys like Ajayi, Ingram and Melvin Gordon. I think you're exaggerating a bit by saying he gets no passing work or red zone work. And where did I say I was trying to get an RB1? Just said I was trying to get an upgrade at RB over Abdullah.

Yeah I don't think I'd have a shot at either Zeke or Fournette. Was thinking more along the lines of someone like Mixon but I already had that trade shot down, was trying to come up with some similar guys with upside but aren't quite established yet.

I've tried shopping my depth WRs but nobody seems to be too interested. Will keep trying though. Thanks

Given that Abdullah is a borderline RB2 and Parker is a high WR2 in order to improve your team you need a low RB1-high RB2. Zeke and Fournette hit those numbers.

I see threads like this all the time and my response? You're asking the wrong question. Trading is almost never about what's fair. It's almost always about what the other team needs. You need to be combing through the other 11 teams in your league and figure out who really needs Parker or Abdullah. Your goal is to then target players on their team(s) that maybe you couldn't necessarily get in a "fair" trade. Find a team that's had some misfortune with their WRs (think Cooper, Dez, Pryor) and have a decent amount of depth at RB. Then target someone who you think might normally be just a bit out of the price range of those guys. I've gotten more super-upgrades over the years by just playing to my opponent's weaknesses than I care to remember. This is how most of your trading should go.

The only other way to look at it is to target specific players and then figure out how much it's going to cost you to get one of those players. In that case, we'd not only need your roster, but your opponent's roster as well. And, more often than not, you're gonna have to pay a fair or even unfair price to get the guy you want.

In my experience, those are your two options for 99.9% of your trades. Trades need to make sense more than they need to be "fair", especially if all you're doing is offering up your bench fodder. Go find a team or two in your league where Parker/Abdullah would make sense and see what you can get.

I agree and this is generally what I do, was just trying to get a sense of the range of players most people would consider giving up for an Abdullah/Parker package. Not very practical for me to post my entire league's rosters here I don't think. Just trying to get a general idea to make sure I'm in the right ballpark in a vacuum, I can obviously then from there decide if the team that owns whatever player I want to target has any use for Abdullah/Parker.

I think Carson, Duke Johnson, Buck Allen, Terrance West may be good targets depending on what the owners needs.
