Goodell to investigate Pats/Moss for chicanery? (1 Viewer)

Given his history of acting quickly and decisively, I expect Goodell to begin an investigation soon. Obviously there are a lot of unanswered questions at this point, but given the Patriots history it's obvious that the league has to look into the allegations that Moss was acting as an agent for SpyGate II, and as we all know, where there's smoke, there's almost always fire.

Let's try to keep this to real news and discussion and avoid Patriot-bashing or any of that other noise that isn't welcome in the Shark Pool.

The Patriots were in control of whether the Vikings released Moss? Good to know.

This is a very clichéd post for you. Surprising. Does the fact that the Vikings were losing without Moss and are still doing so, and the Patriots have continued to win prior to this alleged "SpyGateII" and post-Moss factor in here, somewhere?

based on this, i /m not shocked at all that you live in someone's basement.

Even if Moss comes back to the Pats he'll probably face punishment from the team, since he was informed to play at full speed in the Vikings/Jets game before listlessly jogging around the field against the Pats.

Now the real conspiracy here is that Belichek and the Pats purposely planted coaches on all 31 other teams to act as spies/saboteurs to assist them in their dynasty run. Thats the only explanation for their continued success for this long a period of time. The only explanation for why they lost the Super bowl against the G-men was that the giants recognized the spy and put out false information to keep the Pats from taking advantage. The Giants realized who their mole was in the final game of the regular season and instead of outing him, they used him to win the Super bowl against the undfeated juggernaut.

Sending Moss to Vikings to steal a 3rd round pick? Thats kids stuff. Belichek is much bigger picture. If this appears to be collusion thats only because Belichek wants you to think it is.

Does your name mean we are supposed to ignore you?

Tell this to Bronco fans. We are positive that Belichek sent McDaniels here to ruin the Broncos.

Kinda like how he acted fast with the Brett Farve nude photo sharing with that reporter this year? The whole arguement about how Goddell is some Sherriff who's not taking any crap from anyone and upholding the law is a joke. He does whatever is in the best interest of the league and doesn't care about the truth unless it benifits the owners. Like SpyGate where cheating and collusion actually occured we won't know any of the true story behind the scenes of this and it will bebrushed under the rug and forgotten. So don't go waiting around for anything even if there even was anything to begin with. The NFL's reputation is far too valuable to fit in things like fairness and truth no matter who is the commissioner. And for the record I don't see any smoke here. Randy Moss got canned today because of his irrational and delussional rants yesterday and more importantly for the way he's been playing

Now if you apply this to General Managers it COULD be an explanation for the whole Matt Millen regime...-QG

I'm pretty sure only someone who was well acquainted with the shame of living in a basement would think this was a biting insult. But thanks for the valuable contribution to the discussion! This is exactly the kind of pissing that is ruining the Shark Pool.

In that case, link needed.

Posted this in the main thread, but I'll post it here too. Moss is risking his chance @ being in the HOF by doing this. I hope whatever BB gave him was worth it. Colluding with another team to make sure your team loses is worse than betting against your team.

Whole lot of this:

noise that isn't welcome in the Shark Pool.
and not much of this:
real news and discussion
Not sure why everyone wants to be the first to ridicule around here, but I guess that's what this place has become. The title said it was speculation, pretty clear that I'm just presenting an opinion here. But the rumors are flying and I wouldn't be surprised to see some action (i.e. investigation, not necessarily punishment) by the league on this soon. The league has a reputation to protect and doesn't need questions about cheating floating around about one of their premier franchises AGAIN.

Unless some evidence surfaces of Belichick dropping Childress on the head when he was an infant, I do not see how the Patriots are going to get implicated here.

Regards,

THE FANTASY KING

Well, you know how it is around here. Anyone who can't comprehend possibilities beyond what they are comfortable with can only attack and ridicule.

Why do you keep saying this everywhere? Is this schtick? Really hope so because this is some of the dumbest stuff I've seen written before.

Uhh..no. It's just inane. That's why people ridicule.

interesting take, but fortunately i've never had the pleasure. you on the other hand seem like your're thriving in mediocrity. Here's a hint, being clever isn't for you.

Jeez, the anger is strong with this one, huh? I get it, you're a Pats fan, and you disagree. There's an intelligent, civil way to do that, and there's... the way you do it, apparently.Might as well shut it down if this is what the Shark Pool has become. While we're at it though, no one should speculate about where Moss will end up, or how many yards Gore will rush for next week, or any other football topics that haven't happened yet. Wouldn't want to upset anyone. :excited:

oh cmon man. I personally do not care. This thread is silly though.

Ohh yes you do, liar.

This is one of the weirdest threads on a very weird NFL situation. It's a black mark on Chilly and Moss but certainly not BB.

TO and Ocho can't hold a candle to this Prim-ma Donna!

It's cool, I wouldn't blame you for letting emotions run high with a situation like this. If it was my favorite team, I'd have a pretty strong interest in it too. I mean, they trade the guy away, a few weeks later they play the team he was traded to, he completely dogs it all game long (including making no effort to catch a TD that fell right next to him), after the game he makes strange comments about how much he loves his old team, and the next day he's cut? The HOF WR that they just gave up a 3rd round pick for a few weeks ago? There's definitely more to the story here. Add to it that the Pats have already had cheating-related scandals in the past, and you don't think Goodell's going to look into this at all? I'm not saying he's handing out fines and sanctions already, but it's crazy to think the league isn't going to do what they can to figure out what happened behind the scenes here and get a handle on this situation before it gets out of hand.
