Google Chrome - Shockwave crashing (1 Viewer)

TheIronSheik

SUPER ELITE UPPER TIER
I use Chrome and Shockwave crashes continually. It slows down my entire computer to a standstill until I finally get a notification saying it has crashed. Then I can stop it. I'll get about another hour of use out of it before it goes through the process again.

I searched online and this seems to be a big problem. Sounds like Chrome uses its own Flash player and the two don't play nicely. But any solution I read does not work for me. One solution says to go into about:plugins and disable one of the Flash plugins. Well, I only show one: Adobe's. If I disable that, Chrome runs great. Except for the fact that I no longer have Flash working on my browser.

Anyone have this issue and know how to resolve it?

I noticed this issue started popping up a couple of weeks ago for me. Sorry, I'm no help. I am continually reloading Shockwave.

I must be odd as I have no allegiance. I have IE, Chrome and Firefox all on my desktop. If something doesnt work in one, I use another.

I'm the same. No allegiance. Used to always use IE just because it was there. I switched to Chrome because a website I used at work did not work with IE (at the time). Just got used to using it. Sadly, another website I use at work does not work on Firefox or Chrome, so I still have IE that I use from time to time for certain tasks.
