Gotta Keep 2!? (1 Viewer)

12 team .5ppr everyone loses their first and second round picks. Obj,M.Gordon,M.Thomas
What are other teams likely to freeze?  If there will be more top tier WR available than RB's then I keep Gordon.  If there will be decent RB's available then I would keep Thomas (OBJ is a for sure keep so it is a decision between the other two).

Also, what pick do you have?  That might factor in some as well.

Well, unless you have an early pick, you're probably not going to get any of them back in the draft.

A lot also depends on your lineup requirements.  You can make a strong case for Thomas if you have to start 3 WRs.

But in most cases, I would just keep OBJ and Gordon.  I like having an elite WR and a solid RB to start out.  I also am not as high on Thomas as others are.

From what I'm projecting other teams to keep here's the best available list. 12 team league. Also I pick 11th in a snake draft. So I'll have 11 and then 14. The list is not in any certain order.

Freeman

Nelson

Gordon or Thomas

Fournette

TY Hilton

Gurley

Crowell

Hopkins

Cooks

Mcaffery

Mixon

Demaryius Thomas

Gillislee

Kelce

Lynch

Brady

Pryor

Alshon

A Rob

Bryant

Hyde

Crab

Olsen

TY Montgomery

Beckham and Gordon here too.

ETA: At 11 and 14, I think Kelce and Pryor would be interesting picks, unless someone unexpected falls.

I pick 11th snake draft. So 11 and then 14.

qb,wr,wr,wr,rb,rb,te,w/r/t,k,d

I'm a big fan of Pryor. Thinking him if I do not keep Thomas. But Kelce? I've never been a fan of te early. But I've also never tried it

I'm a big TE early guy. Its an easy way to get a leg up on other teams on a weekly basis, as long as its the right guy, and not just done to do it. I have Kelce in my top-25 overall.

As for why Beckham and Gordon. Beckham is obvious, Gordon offers more ceiling and a similar floor to Thomas. There isn't a ton separating them, but Gordon's superior TD upside, more importance to his offense pushes him over the top for me.

Absolutely keep Gordon.  With keepers and the 11th pick, solid RB pickings will be slim.  Plus I agree with travdogg, Gordon has a much higher TD ceiling than Thomas does.  Thomas' value is much higher in PPR leagues, and yours is a 1/2 PPR.

Based on the players in your list I think I would lean toward OBJ and Gordon.  I like the WR's better for the available choices as it comes around to you and you can pick up 2 quality guys at 11 & 14.  Just remember that your picks are actually like 3rd and 4th rounders with all teams keeping two guys.  Sometimes the thought of "the first is way too early to take X" creeps in when in reality it is a 3rd round pick.  Just something to keep reminding your self.

What two guys would "you" target with the 11&14? assuming obvious picks in that list are gone

  9. Kelce
  10. Hilton
  11. Hopkins
  12. Cooks
  13. Lynch
  14. Pryor

  16. McCaffrey
  17. DT
  18. Crowell
  19. Mixon
  20. Alshon
  21. Crabtree
  22. Olsen
  23. Brady
  24. Gillislee

Dez isn't available and awfully high on Hyde and A Rob?

I figured the Bryant was Dez.  I guess it's Martavis then?  It's tough to rank straight through.  I could be talked into moving a few around as I would probably tier at the following levels:

  • 1-3
  • 4-12
  • 13-23
  • 24 (I wouldn't even think about Gillislee at this spot).
