The best New York Football Giants' combinations...

Favre/Levens/FreemanNow can someone please explain to me why people need to put 'football' in front of the Giants. Is there another prominent NY Giants sports team that I should be confusing the football team with?

Technically the Giants' official team name is the NY Football Giants... it's just mostly shortened to Giants in all cases except for formal ones.
