Green Sticker? (1 Viewer)

I noticed that the QB's all seemed to have a (circular) green sticker on the backs of their helmets this past weekend. I'll apologize in advance if I was hallucinating, or this has been the case since the beginning of the season, but I just noticed it and I was wondering if anyone could clear up the meaning/significance of these stickers. Thanks.

Its been talked about.

Its the way the refs keep up with what player has the communication device.

Only one is allowed ont he field.

They mark them before each game.
