Tennessee Titans safety Michael Griffin was suspended one game Monday by the league for a repeat violation of NFL safety rules that prohibit hits to the head and neck area of a defenseless player.

The play in question was a hit on Oakland Raiders tight end Mychal Rivera during Sunday's win. Griffin's hit knocked Rivera's helmet off, and Rivera missed the rest of the contest with a concussion.

we're supposed to believe griffin hit somebody?

What makes it believable is that Rivera was already on the ground so he could easily spear him.
