Ok, so... years ago used to border hop biweekly for booze and groceries...

Moved away.... stopped... not Im back along the border line, and have a meeting over the river, so IM gonna do some grocery shopping.

Gimme some "must grab items" that I potntially might not be able to get at home, in Canada (we obv share the basics).... Ideally things like mexican stuff, snacks etc.

Wegman's is where Im headed.

Probably nothing.  I went to France for work, brought home some fancy mustard from Dijon, then laughed when I went to Wegman's and they had the same brand.

The candy bars are different in Canada - get one of the new Snickers peanut butter squares.

being from france, originally... I can confirm that the Maille Dijon sold in canada/US is different. quite. about 1/3 as spicy (the french one seems packed w much more horseradish?)

anyways, yes candy can differ, absolutely... you guys tend to have a LOT more mexican brands and products than we do. Ill likely focus on that and some real high grade weed killer.

You mentioned pesticide - I assume that we have different things that are legal in pharmaceuticals and chemicals... are you allowed to take them across the border?  I noticed in Korea that they didn't seem to sell ibuprofen over the counter, but I had a bottle I always take with me when I travel.  Was I breaking some sort of rule?

Mexican brands... the snack chips are good.  Takis, the Sabritas chips that somehow get Doritos labeling... how are produce sections where you are?  Wegmans typically has a great produce section with some oddball fruits and veggies that you might not be able to get - maybe tomatillos to make green salsa or green chili.

legal to purchase and bring over the pesticide/weed killers, illegal to use them.

produce here is generally top notch, and it's the ONLY thing I find to be cheaper in canada, for equal/better quality.

I love Amora mustard from France.  It's a ordinary supermarche brand over there but it's superior to anything I've found in this country.  And we go through a lot of mustard.

While you are down here you don’t want to miss the experience of paying for a medical procedure.

Haha... some good laughs in here.

Anyways... the hilights: a 6pnd pork shoulder to smoke tomorrow, for $9. That's easily half of what Id pay here... More than half, actually.

Some goya products... Halo Top Ice Cream for the wife... we have ti here, but it's 5.99 usually, and we have maybe 5-6 to choose from. 3.99 at wegman's w about 15 kinds and even 6-6 dairy free ones (which she took)

case of beer, EASILY less than half the cost.

oh, and a 15pnd bag of charcoal briquettes... $8... usually 13-15 here.

Saved some cash
