Gurley & Reed risky to buy in dynasty? (1 Viewer)

I've been offered a trade in my 12 team PPR dynasty that on paper looks good...yet I can't seem to pull the trigger. Maybe it's the Rams woeful offense and concussions. Should I be running to take this?

Give: Lamar Miller, 1.7, 2.1

Get: Gurley & Reed

I'd be all over that offer. Gurley feels like the most obvious bounce back candidate in recent memory. He's an elite talent, that was in as difficult of a situation as anyone in the NFL last year, and while he disappointed, he wasn't as bad as people remember, he was still a decent RB2, just not the #1 overall some were hoping for. With an entirely new offense, led by an actual play caller and not the corpse of Jeff Fisher, Gurley is a top-5 RB going forward in my opinion.

Reed is the best TE other than Gronk whenever he is healthy. If he can stay mostly healthy, he's a gigantic weekly advantage.

I'd make that trade for either of those two by themselves! You're basically getting a potential top-10 RB or a potential top-2 TE for free. Snap accept.

This is a case where the Gurley/Reed owner is still stinging from the slap in the face these two gave him last  year and he is trying to move these players for assets.  Don't overthink it.  The value is there (although there is some risk as well) so jump on it.

I don't think it's that lopsided, but I'd still take it.

Probably ends up something like:

Lamar Miller/Curtis Samuel for Gurley

OJ Howard for Reed

First part seems like a pretty easy choice in favor of Gurley. Miller's already entering his 6th season, which is getting up there a little bit for a RB. The 2.01 is worth the upgrade IMO

Howard (or rookie TE of your choice) vs. Reed is a lot tougher. Might depend upon your window of contention and how good your backup TEs are.
