Guys who I think will catch TD's in week 3 (1 Viewer)

This post, much like all of my posts these days, is more for the guys like myself who have made the switch to weekly leagues.

Megatron - I know, but he will so I had to list him.

Dez - See Nicks, Hakeem week 2.

Fitzy - I dont care if Ronald Mcdonald suits up @ QB this week and starts chucking him big macs. He is too good to be this bad. 67 yrds on the season?? Look for him in the RZ Channel TD montage this weekend.

Antonio Brown - Raiders are down two starting corners, look for Brown to get on track and find pay dirt.

Stephen Hill - The Jets will try and get this kid back on his week 1 track vs a putrid Dolphin pass defense.

Lance Moore - he's not really due, but this is one of those every other week "Late score, Lance Moore" kind of games. Colston still gimpy (whats new?), Brees loves looking his way when Graham get's doubled inside the 20. Im all but sure that I could score against the Chiefs right now. They are choking on a heavy one.

Jermaine Gresham - Now.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND starting this slug. Please dont. Your are much better off investing in Pitta or Ruldolph if you are going to cheap out at TE this week. That said, it's tough not to have a boner about the match-up here. In fact, I DO recommend looking long and hard at Hawkins in PPR formats ($4700 on FD). I just think Gresham finds a way to get in the EZ.

Santana Moss - yes, old arss Santana "collecting" Moss. Garcon on the shelf again, Hankerson is all the rage, I know.. but I cant shake the feeling that the crafty old vet is gonna steal one this weekend. He wont see many better chances.

Torrey Smith - New England's M.O is to take away the opposing teams biggest threat. That threat, of coarse, is Ray Rice. Now the Pats typically keep the lid on big play guys by keeping it in front of them, so this pick im least confident about, but in the spirit of the thread..."he's due".

The dolphins pass defense is putrid? Only andre johnson has done good vs them this year. The wr stats for the other teams are what is putrid.
Go take a look at what they've given up so far through the air vs the Juggernaut passing attacks of Houston and Oakland.Hills size and speed will cause serious match up problems for them. Much like AJ did.

Heh heh. You wrote boner and long and hard and getting into the end zone.

Jordy Nelson is certainly overdue even though it's not the easiest matchup. 15td's last year and none this year as of yet.

Going past the gut feeling and looking at some quick numbers instead, here are some guys I'd throw out:

Anthony McCoy: Green Bay has given up a touchdown to a tight end (Vernon and Kellen Davis) in each of its first two games, and McCoy had a nice little breakout game against Dallas last week.

Dallas Clark: Same thing--Dallas has given up TDs to tight ends (McCoy and Martellus Bennett) in each of its first two games.

Greg Little: Buffalo has given up two touchdowns to a receiver in each of its first two games (Stephen Hill and Dwayne Bowe). Completely different situations--Hill got his in a blowout of the Bills, whereas Bowe got his in garbage time--but still. Or perhaps Massaquoi gets one.

Devery Henderson: This just a what-the-heck one. The Chiefs love giving up passing touchdowns. They love them some blown coverage. Maybe this is the week Henderson catches a deep one.

I agree with Calvin Johnson, I think he breaks out big this week, 10 + catches 170+ yards and 2 tds

I don't agree with Jordy Nelson, was anyone watching what the Seahawks did last week at HOME?

I have no reasoning for it but I think Harvin scores a long one this week on a very aggressive 49er defense, maybe a reverse or a screen pass.

I don't see Antonio Brown scoring either, remember the guy only had 2 touchdowns last year. He is a good PPR guy

I don't like Fitzgerald against the Eagles either, that defense is way to good, that said I don't think he has just one catch either. I see a 7 for 105 game.

I like Dez Bryant to score, it should be another high scoring game between the Bucs and a NFC East team.

Here are a couple guys I just have a hunch on

Eric Decker, I think this game may get out of hand by the 4th quarter and Decker scores a garbage time touchdown. I actually see him having a good day without the touchdown, a lot of garbage time points on some shorter passes underneath.

Kendall Wright, another hunch, the Titans should be down big to the Lions and will want to keep everything in front of them.

Wes Welker, the Ravens will focus a lot on Gronkowski and not getting beat deep by Lloyd. Welker should have a decent day underneath and find the end zone.

Jordy is an excellent addition to this list. My only reservation with him is the fact that they are playing in Seattle against a tough physical secondary. These replacement refs have been swallowing the whistle when it comes to contact down the field. Especially in favor of the home teams.

But yea, he's most certainly due.

I'm not sure if this trend makes sense, but in doing split stats, I've seen a more TDs being scored by WRs on turf instead of grass. Has anyone else seen this? There have been 24 TDs scored on grass fields where as there have been 34 scored on turf fields. There are currently only 13 turf fields between the 32 teams (counting who shares fields). Just to make sure I'm not going crazy, does anyone else see this?

In the Patriots first two games of the season, an opposing TE was the team's leading receiver. The Pitta-train looks like it will keep rolling along this week. He should be back in the end zone.

Amendola, Harvin, Antonio Brown.
