So I made the playoffs in my biggest league, now we are down to a "win or go home" scenario. You know the drill.
Start 3 WR league, and my other 2 starting WRs are MIKE EVANS and ALLEN ROBINSON.
Currently I have COREY COLEMAN slotted in as my WR3, and I am not loving that really.
There is talk of brutal weather there in Cleveland, and RGIII might be starting. If it makes a difference, I am ALSO STARTING the CINCY DEFENSE on this team.
(I try not to start a defense and opposing WRs if I can help it) Its not that big of a deal, as I like the matchup for Cincy, but RGIII and the weather makes me a bit nervous.
I have these available on the wire, or am looking at these possibly......
WILLIE SNEAD , TED GINN Jr, WILL FULLER , CAMERON MEREDITH, ROBBY ANDERSON, TY MONTGOMERY.
Not sold on Snead, theres too many Cooks in the kitchen there for the Saints. (pun intended) Ted Ginn, hes been on fire as of late, but he may well drop everything the moment I pick him up. I hate depending on him, and he is really only good when he rips off a big play or two.
Robby Anderson is intriguing, as apparently Matt Barkley (yes THAT Matt Barkley) loves him, and targeted him 12 times. Its a solid matchup, as they are playing SF. Its hard to have the stones to start him, as he hasn't done much of anything all season until last week, when Barkley started. I don't like "chasing points", but thats all it seems like, until we see if Barkley is locked in to him, and we may not know that until after this game.
Montgomery has been almost non existent for a few weeks. It seems as though they are done with Starks, so this may well be the play. Just hope he catches a pass or two, and maybe runs for 40-50 yards. This is a possibility.
Meredith- he is a weird one. He has flat disappeared in games, and thats even after Alshon got hurt. Not sure I want to go down this path, as it may well turn into a 2 for 15 kind of line. Plus he is against Detroit IN DETROIT , and their pass defense is fairly tough.
Will Fuller intrigues me too. This may well turn into a shootout, and not only is the INDY defense bad, their best corner should be on Hopkins. Fuller was electric early in the season, but then the targets slowed up. It looks like he is a 4 for 60 type of guy most weeks, but he can put together a few big games here and there. Another one I am looking at.
I'm leaning towards Fuller, Montgomery or Anderson.
It might be worth noting, this is not a situation where I may need a 25 point explosion. This looks to be a matchup where I have a 5-6 point edge in projections. I am more or less looking for a solid 8-10 points, and I don't necessarily need a 20 point burst, if that was the case I would likely get Ted Ginn and pray.
Any thoughts are appreciated, and I will try and help in return.
