You have to decide between Lynch and Nicks in your Flex? How many teams are in the league? How shallow are the rosters?I keep going back and forth between him and Marshawn Lynch in my flex. My gut says to go with Nicks if he plays, because he has a history of performing well when he has played after an injury scare. Lynch is also battling an injury of his own, so his practice status over today and tomorrow will probably play into my decision as well. The weather also concerns me.Right now I have Lynch in my lineup, but if I hear some positive news about Nicks today, I may change my mind.
Is this a 6 team league? How do you have 2 players that go within the first 4 rounds at your flex spot?I keep going back and forth between him and Marshawn Lynch in my flex. Some. From what I've read, there will be bands of heavy rain between tonight and tomorrow night. One report I read had the worst of it ending around halftime. I don't have Nicks, but I'd start him.No weather related worries? Isn't Issac (what's left of it) going to be right on top of NYC tomorrow night? Last I checked Met Life stadium didn't have a roof.
Not sure if you play in 10 team leagues, but sometimes those rosters can be pretty stacked. Is this a 6 team league? Embarrassment of riches.I would honestly start Nicks and Johnsons over Marshall and Harvin this week. Feels like an AC thread now.I like Stevies matchup against the Jets, I also like Nicks matchup against the Boys.Marshall and Harvin are obviously studs (as you most likely drafted both ahead of Nicks and Johnson) but they have way more question marks imo than Nicks or Johnson. Jets pass D is over stated and Stevie has Revis' number. Expect the Bills to take an early lead and run FJax opening up the pass game even more for a few big plays. To answer the questions... I play in a 12 team, two person keeper and was lucky enough to keep Lynch as an 8th rounder and Murray as a 17th rounder. I am starting Murray and Mcfadden at RB. Marshall and Harvin at WR. The flex comes down to Nicks or Lynch (or Stevie Johnson, who I am benching this week).
ever heard of dynasty or keeper leagues? or even an auction league? they're a lot of fun!!Is this a 6 team league? Great news. I'm starting Nicks and murray, so a messy game wouldn't be fun.Looks like its gonna be clear. All the precipitation is past them, forecast is clear all day/night.
Eli tends to torch the Cowboys late in games but I'm a little skeptic so I'm going with C. Johnson (no brainer) and J. Nelson this week.TexCan't think of 10 WRs I'd rather start this week.
Everyone will disagree, but I think NE defense is better than Dallas this year (brace for ####storm)I know the dude toughs out injuries, but I'm still worried about how many snaps he'll be able to be on the field. I need to take some chances this week, given my opponent's roster/matchups. I just need to decide whether Nate Washington vs NEP is "upside" relative to a Nicks who may not be on the field as much as usual.
It's the first football game of the season and you're already in "I need to take some chances" mode.I know the dude toughs out injuries, but I'm still worried about how many snaps he'll be able to be on the field. I think New England will be a better fantasy defense, because offenses are forced to take more chances to keep up with them (sacks, turnovers, etc. as a result). In terms of scoring defense and the things that matter to offensive fantasy players, I think Dallas will be better.Everyone will disagree, but I think NE defense is better than Dallas this year (brace for ####storm)I know the dude toughs out injuries, but I'm still worried about how many snaps he'll be able to be on the field. Plus they have a legitimate pass rusher now in Chandler Jones. New England will give up a ton of yards like last year since they will force teams into passing situations from behind.I think New England will be a better fantasy defense, because offenses are forced to take more chances to keep up with them (sacks, turnovers, etc. as a result). No additional news at this point. Everyone is assuming he'll play, but I've heard nothing about how hard he can go.Maybe we'll get some more news around the time active/inactive lists come out.Back on track, Fellas - What news from Nicks? Is he ready to go?
First game of the season, under the lights against a embittered division rival who are itching to go out and prove themselves as world champ beaters to get on the right track?I don't see how Nicks would not play his heart and soul out tonight. It may be that his snaps may be limited, and the Giants have Cruz to take some of the pressure off, but Nicks is a guy who can net you 100 and a TD even playing for half the snaps, and I do not want to miss out on that opportunity in the season opener.
good point right here. probably shouldn't play him if he sits.Is he playing for sure? If so, I start with confidence. Just want to make sure he is in fact playing due to be listed as "questionable"
