The 3 I thought of right away were Sanders, Sayers and Brown because they had shorter careers and went in on the first ballot, IIRC.

Good question, Chase.

It's probably no coincidence that 4 of them were RB's, as some of their careers are shorter than other positions yet many were still great.

It shows you just how dominant Butkus must have been and viewed by his peers.

A guy like Brett Farve, he plays longer than 15 years past his rookie season
