Happy Father's Day To All FBG Dad's! (1 Viewer)

Hand already in pants, drinks mixed, golf on TV, breakfast made and eaten...

And a new baby coming on Tuesday. I'm gonna totally lazy the #### out of today.

Off to a softball tourney. Watch my daughter's team get killed.  We're playing up a level this weekend.

can hang with the lower end of thislevel but not the mid- topl

First Father's Day as a divorced father. Had a nice lunch with my daughter yesterday because she was leaving for camp this morning. Grilled up some pork tenderloin over at my parents last night. Son is away at school and has to work today...but it's cool, we had a great week in the Keys a few weeks ago.

Roommate and I hit a diner for breakfast with his daughter and son in law. Now just turned golf on the TV, smoked up a bit, and doing Sunday crossword. Got two nice sirloins and three pounds of crab legs for dinner.

I cleaned up from breakfast, mowed the lawn and fought with the dog so far...shaping up to be the best Father's Day ever.  Going to the ocean for lunch though and then swimming at my BIL's which would be fine if not for his ####y wife.  Will be watching at least the final 9 of the US Open though and was able to watch the completion of the 3rd round this morning.

You seriously need to get laid. It would do you some good.

Going to the hospital to visit my Lil warrior and then going to my FIL to try and relax.
Hey Shady,

I just briefly read about what you were going through in the other thread and I just wanted to say that I admire your strength and send my best thoughts and wishes your way.   I truly wish you a fantastic Father's Day.

I'm battling through a divorce now.  The wife went to her father's house, so it's just been me and my 8 year old hanging out.  We're going to drive by our new apartment that he's never seen and is currently under construction and then grab some lunch.  All-in-all, it's been kind of depressing, but I know better days are ahead.

Roommate?  Ugh.

Isn't bad at all. Roommate owns house outright and I occupy the third floor. Bedroom, bathroom with shower, and a decent sized sitting room.

I save on rent and we split the bills.

His family and my family grew up going to the same church, our parents played bridge together, and his two youngest kids are the same age as my children and they went to school together.

He's practically family.

Ah, so you're basically renting an apartment from him.  Not hating, just hate to see a hard working FBG resorted to living with a roommate if they didn't really want to.

Gotcha. I'm actively looking at houses, but renting makes more sense. My daughter graduates high school next spring and heading off to college. I might not stay in the area after that.
