It's about a former detective turned hitman (Chris Meloni) who gets shot and winds up seeing a little girl's imaginary unicorn/horse friend (voiced by Patton Oswald, I believe) -- the little girl has been abducted and the unicorn wants him to find her. 

Interesting shtick. It's working so far. Watched the first three episodes today.

Yeah, it's been pretty good so far. I'll keep it spoiler-free for those late to the game, but it has some interesting twists already. 

The reviews are seeing what I'm seeing: If you're a fan of movies like Crank and Sin City, you'll like this. It's sort of hard-boiled and pulpy noir. Pretty guttural aesthetic.

they put the show on the right time with a lot of other shows finishing up. caught up on last 2 episodes tonight, so far, so good

This is really actually very dark and adult now.
