Has any recent research been done on Wideouts changing teams? (1 Viewer)

I remember years back when guys went to new teams via free agency, their stats generally suffered and many outright tanked. I don't really know how to look for an article discussing this phenomenon. I remember it being discussed a lot when TO went to the Eagles. Obviously Moss bucked that trend as well. But guys like Housh certainly fit that mold. Has anyone done an article this season that studies the general effects of switching teams? The Vincent Jackson dynasty value thread made me think of this. But it would certainly apply to Brandon Marshall this season as well.

I believe failure or success has more to do with the qb of the team that person gets traded to. Although it wasn't a trade, Marshall got a new qb and seemed to do just fine. Another similar example, although not dealing with wrs trades, is when a coach like Martz takes over a new offense. I believe so much of his failure or success lies with what he has at qb. You take him at St Louis and he did great, then he goes to the Lions and does okay, then the 49ers and doesn't do so well. But what was the talent like at the other two teams at the qb positions? Not great. So is it the wr that makes the wr, the qb that makes the wr, or the coach that creates a system that makes the wr? You used Houz as an example, but is he really a good talent or did he just have a good qb in Palmer?
