Has this ever happened? (1 Viewer)

There's a realistic possibility that Drew Brees could lead the Saints to the Super Bowl only to meet the team that he quarterbacked for the previous 4 seasons.

Has this ever happened before?

QB starts for team A during season X

Season X ends, QB goes to team B

Season X+1 Super Bowl between team A & team B

That's some crazy shat. It could happen.

The only thing that comes close off the top of my head is when Craig Morton faced Dallas in the SB, as a member of the Broncos. I can't even think of any other starting SB QB to face his former team.

Not sure if thats ever happened but it wouldn't be any crazier than the year that Gruden beat his former team (Oakland) in the superbowl.
