HasselBACK? (1 Viewer)

Hasselbeck's been less consistent than usual this year, but has had 2 big games out of 5. Branch seems to be coming along, Alexander will be back in a couple of weeks, and his schedule for the rest of the year has to be one of the easiest as far as pass defenses go (OAK, STL, GB, SFx2, ARI) plus games against MIN and KC which are probably middle of the pack. The 7 INTs are uncharacteristic for him as well (threw 7 last yr, 9 the year before), and I think those have taken a TD or 2 away from him and will certainly go down as the year goes on. With 11 games left and his schedule, I dont think 20 TDs, 6 INTs, and 2800 yds over those 11 games is out of the question, which would have to leave him Top 5 by the end of the year one would think.

What's everyone else think about how he should pan out the rest of the year?

The time to target Hasselbeck was last week, not now...if you target him now you'll probably be paying through the nose for him...

I know he had a good game, but even with it he's still the #13 QB in my league (and that area in most id assume). And even still, he hasn't been consistent at all which isnt good for your QB. Usually those are points you're counting on week in, week out

I don't care how inconsistent he has been, his next 10 opponents are as follows:MinnesotaKansas CityOaklandSt. LouisSan FrancisicoGreen BayDenverArizonaSan FranciscoSan DiegoWith the exception of San Diego and Denver... thats a pretty damn sweet schedule. Traded for him last Thursday

Decided to trade Leftwich and Kennisson for him 2 weeks ago during his bye. Other owner jumped at the chance. Despite the fact that Lefty has a great schedule also, Hass has far greater talent at WR and should be throwing more since they sure can't seem to run block.

In the end, I fully expect this deal to pay huge dividends. Lots of folks are high on Leftwich...I was neutral on him...but very high on Hass.

I'm thinking of offering Palmer for him straight up. To most, Palmer has more "name value," but Hasselbeck's production has been better. I'm just concerned about Cincy's O-line injuries. Anyone know when Levi is supposed to be back? It's risky, but name value won't win you any championships.

Still pondering it...
