Are you guys concerned about his starting oline? We may need to temper our expectations...

Sean Locklear LT

Rob Sims LG- (Sims tore his pectoral muscle off the bone in last year’s season opener in Buffalo and missed the rest of the season. He has only one full season as a starter under)

his belt.

Steve Vallos C (started the final five games at center 08)

Mansfield Wrotto RG (started four games at guard 08)

Ray Willis RT(started three games at guard last year 08)

Who the hell are these guys?

The anchor of Seattle's line for the last decade had his second knee surgery in eight months a few weeks ago.Sean Locklear will start for him against the Rams, with Ray Willis playing at Locklear's old spot, right tackle.Spencer tore a quadriceps muscle in the second preseason game last month. Steve Vallos will start at center Sunday."I don't want to look ahead because I'm talking about focusing on this game, but just for your knowledge: there is a chance that both of those guys could be ready to come back next week," Mora said Wednesday morning of Jones and Spencer. "So we'll just see where we are next week."The third injured starter on the line is long gone. Seattle released left guard Mike Wahle at the start of training camp, after the former two-time Pro Bowl selection failed a physical following shoulder surgery. That moved former right guard Rob Sims to the left side.Max Unger, a second-round draft choice who was an All-Pac-10 center at Oregon last season, is now starting at right guard and is the backup to Vallos."I'm comfortable with the starting five. I think that they will perform very, very well," Mora said, adding he is also confident in backup guard Mansfield Wrotto. "So I think our three interior positions, both guards and the center, we're well covered."Jones had microfracture surgery on his left knee last December and then an arthroscopic procedure on Aug. 20 to remove scar tissue and fragments. Until the return of the man former coach Mike Holmgren, the molder of Brett Favre in Green Bay, called the best offensive player he ever coached, Seattle has just one other tackle on the roster: Brandon Frye. He was claimed off waivers from Miami last weekend.Mora called Frye's unfamiliarity with the offense his biggest, immediate concern on the line, "aside from the fact we don't have two of our starters playing in 'Spence' and Walter."Mora also made clear that 35-year-old safety Lawyer Milloy signed this week to be a backup, and that the four-time Pro Bowler and former Super Bowl winner with New England understands that. Jordan Babineaux is the starter next to Deon Grant.Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press

Thanks a zillion

He's in over Edwards, not a tough choice.
Same here. And yes, I know my QB's suck. In a dynasty/salary cap league things need to be sacrificed and this year it was Peyton or MJD. I figured I could get another QB but that has not been the case. HAss and Edwards?
Ha, I hear ya. I have been thinking that I could get Stafford/Quinn for upside and just drop Edwards, but it's be suggested I just see how it plays out. Oh well, we'll survive....I hope.

im expecting hasselbeck to have a big year. potential top 5 qb. love his schedule and tj house addition, plus there rb's suck. i like hasselbeck a lot this year, expecially this week. although make sure you check out the weather in seattle.

Starting him over Cutler and Cassel.QBBC means you play the best matchup.Hass is a great QBBC play- St Louis and the Niners twice.Cassel has the Raiders and Broncos twice.Cutler gets the Lions twice.
That's a nice system. Three QB's with 6 cake games. Question though. Is Cassel going to be healthy for week two against the the Raiders? Is his line going to be be all of the sudden good that week? Also do you play week 17 when Cutler plays the Lions the second time? I'm just askin
Obviously no and Cassel wasn't injured when I drafted him.Still, it's 9 good matchups without even thinking. And I didn't even see if any overlap. Given that Cutler will see the Browns, the Seahawks, Niners and Rams too, they're all great QBBC candidates.

I'm not looking it up, but I believe the Oak pass defense was quite good. They can't stop the run game.

No. 75, SEAN LOCKLEAR, left tackle

6th year, 6-4, 308

Locklear will keep cornerstone tackle Walter Jones’ spot warm until he returns from arthroscopic surgery during the exhibition season. He needs to play well in order to keep Hasselbeck upright.

Backup: 71 Walter Jones, 13th year, 6-5, 325

No. 67, ROB SIMS, left guard

4th year, 6-3, 312

Sims looked good during the preseason and seems like he’s finally ready to turn the corner and play to his potential. Yes, we know you’ve heard this before, but we really mean it this time.

Backup: 66 Mansfield Wrotto, 3rd year, 6-3, 320

No. 69, STEVE VALLOS, center

3rd year, 6-3, 312

Will start in place of Chris Spencer, who’s still out with a torn quadriceps. A quick study, Vallos got valuable experience, starting five games at center in 2008. It would be wise for Spencer to heal quickly.

Backup: 65 Chris Spencer, 5th year, 6-3, 312

No. 60, MAX UNGER, right guard

Rookie, 6-5, 309

Earned a starting job in his rookie year, validating the team using a second round pick on him in this year’s draft. But with Seattle’s young line, the Seahawks can’t afford for Unger to play like a rookie.

Backup: 66 Mansfield Wrotto, 3rd year, 6-3, 320

No. 74, RAY WILLIS, right tackle

5th year, 6-6, 315

The Seahawks signed Willis to a two-year deal in the offseason because of his upside, and now they need him to play to his ability as the team’s starting right tackle.

Backup: 77 Brandon Frye, 3rd year, 6-4, 305

This is where I am at. Both of those guys are on teams but there are guys out there like Favre and Garrard that I could take off the WW but this is a salary cap league. If I take them I have to pay them based on what they did last year in terms of fantasy points and thus I would be right up against the cap with no way to make another WW move for the rest of the season without moving a player to save money. But every week that goes by I can grab the guy at a prorated amount. So if these guys don't do much after a couple of weeks then I grab Favre or Garrard and have enough money left to make a move on the WW. Yeah the league is a bit complex, huh?

Right now I have him in over Cutler, but that could change. I'm not too excited about Cutler's WR's, but the game against GB could be high scoring. I like Hasselbeck this year, but his OL is obviously a concern.

I have the same choice, not 100% sure what I'm gonna do, but am leaning Hass right now. I'd rather see how Cutler performs in a real game before using him, plus I think the GB defense will be solid this year

Over Roethlisberger in one league for sure. Considering starting him over Cutler in another league, and over Romo in my third league. Not sure yet.

Nerd, lol. Nah, that's cool, just hard for me to get 11 other guys to do that stuff. I would wait it out for now - Hass should be decent.

Thank goodness I went with my instinct and started Hasselbeck over Rivers....now I can watch the MNF game tomorrow without squirming.

I think my 10th round QB outscored everyone one of my first nine rounders, what a good week.

At least its encouraging to see - seems healthy, though I'm not sure the Rams are a good measuring stick at this point.
