(KFFL) The Associated Press reports HBO's Wednesday, Feb. 6, finale of "Inside the NFL" will be the studio show's last on the network. "Inside the NFL" is owned by NFL Films and will look to continue the show with another network in the fall.

I remember when this was one of the few NFL only things on tv, a must watch. Lately with NFLC and others I sort of lost interest. It served a purpose. I guess it's time has come.

I hope someone picks it up.

This is the only NFL show I watch weekly! Not that they really add a lot of insight, I just enjoy watching the 4 of them with their antics & predictions. Chris, Cris & Bob are awesome! Dan's better than Jerry Glanville - but not by much! I think Strahan would make a good replacement or Steve Young.

The thing I always liked about it was when they showed the stuff in the locker room and things you weren't able to see all weekend during the highlights.

I was just coming on here to post after watching it. First off, I cannot believe this show is finished.....what the Nick said, that they became almost like family....it was really true for me. I remember watching this show as a kid and really getting my football education from it. So for me to turn it on tonight, especially being a Giants fan, I was amped....I had NO IDEA it was the last show ever. This was the only real highlight show I watch....NFL films does such a fantastic job with the highlights...wow, I'm going to miss it.

Great finale though. The sounds of the game from this season was just incredible. The highlight for me was Gruden yelling at Stovall....the farting jokes.....the fat jokes......Cedric "Freakin" Benson getting some face time....he hates Romo...too funny. To bad no one had a sound bite from Romo calling him a head case.

Past highlights really bought back memories.

And, Chris Carter.....jeez man....relax, you're going to get in the Hall of Fame....I really thought he was going to start crying that he wasn't a first ballot inductee.

Oh yeah, highlights from the Super Bowl were top notch. Loved the refs discussing what a great game it was in the third quarter.....Strahan...really won some of my respect back, the guy said a lot of good things to get BigBlue pumped.

Anyway, this sucks....last show...why? I'm guessing it has something to do with NFL Films and NFL Network. What a bummer.

Yea. Plus we really didn't have a lot of access to this stuff anywhere else. It was informative and we got to see some parts of games that weren't broadcast in your area. Now we can get everything and there was no internet then. As I said it served a purpose.

Haven't seen the show in years, since I no longer get HBO, but growing up this was a must-see for me. Fare thee well Inside the NFL.

was thinking about cancelling hbo after the wire ends. pretty sure this seals the deal

that channel is hurting for new shows

I used to watch "Inside the NFL" religously but rarely in the past couple years. It used to be the only game in town but there are so many other NFL shows now and the NFL network that I didn't bother tuning into "Inside the NFL" much in recent years.

It lost some appeal for me when they brought in Costas and Peter King. I think the show was at its best when it stuck to people who were grounded in football as opposed to commentary.

Before the NFL channel, Direct TV and even ESPN, this show RULED. You got everything you needed to know on Saturday, priming you up for the following days games (IIRC)

Man do I feel old - telling the youngsters that before all the highlight shows this was the show to watch that didn't simply have retreaded TD clips. That and Cossell's Monday night football highlights!

It's nice having all this media at your fingers today but there was something special about the anticipations to watch the highlights once a week.

Did I say I feel old....and I'm only 37!

This show went downhill when Bob Costas joined the crew as lead commentator. And Wanda Sykes and Peter King are complete jokes.

The show was awesome with Len Dawson, Nick Buontoconti (sp?), and Cris Collinsworth

A true classic.

I still have a cassette I taped as a kid of Lenny Dawson and Nick Buoniconti breaking down week 10 of the 1979 season....

Can't remember who else was on the show at that time.

HBO is idiotic for ending this show. This network is making some bad decisions.
Can't say that, I"m sure they pay a VERY healthy rights fee. And unfortunately, as much as I liked the show, it is somewhat outmoded. I don't think people appreciate the artistry of their show versus whats on sportscenter and to their discredit, NFL films moving to HD has kind of diminished their look. There wasn't much difference last night watching the enhanced replay between the film clips and live feed in beautiful HD. I know Len and Nick got old, but that killed a lot of the vibe for me, they oozed credibility.

was this an HBO decision or an NFL decision?also, the quote makes it sound like the show will continue somewhere else.

:drive: I liked the oldschool show, too. Quit watching it (and cancelled HBO) shortly after Costas/King showed up...

I'm with you...used to ride my bike to a friend's house (who had HBO) to watch iNFL. Still liked the show recently, although some of the 'special features' were a bit hokey. I always preferred to see more NFL Films Highlights. Hopefully NFL Films has some badass highlights show to throw our way.

This show was always about the guy with the cool voice doing the highlights. Not to mention they would do alot of cool stories, like the where are they now segments and such. This one one of the main reason I had always gotten hbo, I remember canceling many times after football season was over. It will be on NFL network next year either way I'm sure.

It was an HBO decision, which surprised me. Figured the NFL was strong-arming them to get the show on NFLC. Nope, this was HBO all by themselves. Morons.

the market has been deluded by ESPN, ESPNews, ESPN Classic, NFL Network(and all of the above's respective websites), Youtube, etc. It was probably more of a vanity luxury for HBO than anything for the last 10 years, nothing necessarily set it apart. The only really unique show is Edge NFL Matchup.

Yes, Wanda Sykes and Lewis Black were pointless additions but most shows have some low points.

I loved the show and have watched every episode since I got HBO 8 years ago. Will definitely miss the good discussion between the hosts, and the NFL films highlights. Yes, there are many other discussion shows but they nearly all are grounded in arguing constantly. These guys were more like friends.
