Heath Miller, Reed, Graham(Hou) and Clay (1 Viewer)

How do u rank these guys for the rest of the year?
Clay has proven himself so far so I have him one.

Next 3 have issues.

Miller banged up, Reed cake schedule but Davis is still hanging around, Graham has QB issues.

I would go, Miller, Reed, Graham but it is a close race, the biggest reach of the 3 is Reed but he also has the most upside IMO.

That's how I have them. Miller we know what he's capable of but Reed seems to be interesting. I just traded Cameron away and have Bennett as my only TE. I think I could go for an upside guy like Reed.

Looking at Millers numbers last year and he isn't very good. He has games where he goes 5 catches 59 yards and a TD. I like going after high potential guys like Cameron who did more in 5 games then Heath all of last year in 16. I like the young athletic TEs who can become a Thomas,Gronk,Hernadez,Cameron or Graham and I think Reed has the best chance of being that. Miller is good and he's def solid and some people like solid a guy who can get u 10 points a week but I like the guys who have the potential of getting u 15-20...Just how I scout.

But who he is looking at is Reed, Clay, Miller and Graham. Reed had 8, 10, 10 injured bye, Miller didn't play but one or two weeks. Graham did good being #2 but his QB has serious issues, and Clay is just in the best position, plus you might get the bonus of him rushing a TD. 15-20 is a pipe dream outside of Clay who is at about 14 in a PPR league.

I like Clay the most for consistency but if forced to decide, I can see going Miller just because the targets will be there (even though the production might not every week).

Clay has been a bit of an under appreciated story this year. He has been extremely consistent and that's really nice to have this year at the TE position, considering so many big names are down or out.

Houston is not going to suddenly stop throwing to the TE, Graham has been a solid #2 and I would think he will easily double his targets going forward. I would put him at the top with Clay then Miller and Reed rounding out the four. None of these guys have had stellar QB play so far, but the Texans TE position is a key part of the offense, I think many people are underestimating Graham.

Clay's also done it on a fairly small number of targets. 31 targets for 297 yards and 2 TDs is pretty efficient.

Yards/Target for TEs with 5+ targets/game:

Code:
Jimmy Graham 11.19Antonio Gates 10.68Julius Thomas 9.97Charles Clay 9.58Vernon Davis 9.33 Heath Miller 8.75Greg Olsen 8.53Jordan Cameron 8.25Jared Cook 7.60Martellus Bennet 7.59Scott Chandler 7.56Jermaine Gresham 7.32Jason Witten 7.28Tony Gonzalez 7.21Jordan Reed 7.07 Jermichael Finle 6.95Brandon Myers 6.71Owen Daniels 6.15Dallas Clark 6.03Kyle Rudolph 5.15
Wouldn't be surprised if he saw a little more action after the bye week, especially given that he's not playing with an elite QB like the guys above him on the list.

I'm on board with this line of thought. I put Graham, Miller, and Clay all pretty close together, but see Graham as having the biggest upside by a good bit. The Texans use the TE in the red zone like crazy--always have under Kubiak. It's one of the reasons Andre Johnson never has high TD totals.Reed is a decent flier, but appears several steps behind the other guys.

I like Miller and Graham for sure. Graham has the biggest upside IMO. I think Clay's fantasy points per target is due to regress as the season goes on. Miller IMO is the safest bet in PPR so I'd have him at one, followed by Graham and then Clay. Reed is decent, but not someone I'd ever want to be starting, at least not this year, just can't trust him and don't see a lot of upside just yet.
