I posted that I wanted to trade Mora or Chavez for a good 2B or SS, or that Wright could be had for a top notch player. This guy offered me Kinsler and Rolen for Wright and Millwood. Obviously that is a no go, but this guy has the goods to make a deal.

Would you try to deal one of Mora/Chavez for Kinsler/Roberts straight or work something like Wright and Millwood for Kinsler and Berkman/Hafner? If I do something like the 2nd deal, I could drop Iguchi and look at free agent SPs Tomko, Byrd, Belisle, Suppan, Morris, Vargas, Owings, Lohse, Hirsh, Towers, W. Rodriguez.

Whatcha think?

I like the Wright and Millwood for Kinsler and Hafner option, if you can pull it off.

Whatcha think?
3B is so freakin deep, Im not sure that Chavez or Mora really hold much value in a ML. Are they really an upgrade for anyone? 2B on the other hand is very shallow, and Iguchi sux. I'd start with Wright - Kinsler and try to get him to upgrade you at another position.

I think there are some other options for Mora/Chavez, highlighed below. Agree?Rostered 3Bs by team:

Freel, no backup, but has Lugo and Polanco in a 2b/ss rotation.

Atkins, Gordon

Zimm, Upton

Rolen, Teahen

Iwamura, Blalock, Glaus

Wigginton, Ensberg - this guy made a play for Wright, but only offered Podsednik and another bum)

A. Ramirez, no backup

ARod, Tracy

Chipper, Crede

Beltre, DeRosa

Cabrera, no backup

I offered the Lugo/Freel/Polanco team a deal and he accepted it within an hour.

I gave up Chavez and I get Polanco.

This team has already picked up Brandon Phillips in prep for the deal going thru.

I'm going to drop Iguchi when the trade goes through. What pitcher would you pick up?

SPs - Tomko, Byrd, Belisle, Suppan, Morris, Vargas, Owings, Lohse, Hirsh, Towers, W. Rodriguez, Moseley, Washburn

RPs - Ledezma (SP/RP), Qualls, Parrish, Crain (who I just dropped to get DeJesus), Baez

That trade seems fair, though Im starting to wonder if you wouldnt be better off with Kinsler/Chavez rather than Polanco/Wright. As for the pitcher, I like Lohse. I posted somthing about him I read in another thread where a guy (with a good track record) was pegging him to have a breakout year.

I offered the Kinsler owner multiple counter deals and he has refused them all, although never Wright for Kinsler straight up. I never wanted to do that. I tried getting Berkman and Hafner in the deal while giving up other things from my side. When I look at my 3Bs, I see Wright>Mora>Chavez. I'm not totally sold that Chavez is completely healthy after some bits I've read lately and Mora is actually playing better right now. Although, I think Chavez is a tear in the 2nd half of seasons, or is it 1st halfs? I think his 81 game splits are a bit of night and day some years. Lohse, huh? I think I read some of your posts about him. I've never been a fan of him, but I have till Sunday to think about this.

I cant take any credit (or blame  ) for recommending Lohse. Just pointing out that a guy (whose opinion I respect) liked him before the season started. Here's what he had to say...
Kyle Lohse (3.85 – NL) – Go ahead and mock me. I liked him last year. I like him this year. And I’ll probably always like him. His stuff has always been better than his stats, and it’s possible that he’ll get a chance to figure it out in the inferior NL. His brief stint with Cincy in ’06 was pretty darned good, and it will be very interesting (and perhaps entertaining) to watch Lohse’s fairly good stuff against the NL for an entire year. I may be crazy, and I expect plenty of derision, but we could be in for some seriously Bizarro pitching from Lohse this season.
If you want to read his whole rundown check HERE. I've been following his "Tiers" for the past couple seasons. He puts an unbelievable amount of time into his writeup and has been pretty darn good.

Bodhi does put tons of effort into his pitching tiers. While I think he gets more wrong than right, I do read what he posts, as he does help unearth a hidden gem or two. His manlove with Felix Hernandez is unprecedented in recorded history though.
