Here We Go Again : Another School Shooting (1 Viewer)

I should elaborate on that.  We've had this discussion at pretty great length in other threads but you just can't get the same individually mindful education from a massive public school setting as when you give kids the autonomy to learn and experience things on their own terms.

Painting homeschool families like weirdos based on your anecdotal experience is just bogus plain and simple.
I'll be serious here for a second.

I am sure some aren't. But every family I've ever known that did it did so because they were ultra-religious weirdos. The fact we have really good public schools around here probably influences that. In areas with very poor schools I can imagine considering home schooling as an option, especially if you can't afford a private school.

And having an individually tailored education is probably a very good thing academically. I would question whether the kids lose out on as much as they gain by not having the experiences (good and bad) that come from the social interaction at school though.

There's been roughly 170 years of public education in place.  Things are looking like the sort of dystopian world idiocracy portrayed.  I don't see how anyone could look at the state of affairs politically/culturally and come to any other conclusion.

I don't think you're wrong for stereotyping, I think you're just wrong.
Of course you don't.

Or..... since it was caught in time, we can get them help. Maybe attempt to understand what led them down this path, and try to fix it.

Sorry, she was meticulous in her planning.  I don't see this one being "fixed". She is 18 so lock her up for a long time
