Hernandez convicted of first-degree murder; found deceased in his cell. (1 Viewer)

You get the feeling that the Patriots statement cutting Hernandez has been ready for a while and that just needed to fill in the date before sending it out.

I had a feeling they were done with him when he was kicked out of their facility minutes after arriving.
This is true.

For all the talk about "circuses" and the Pats, this, fyi, is a real circus. An evil circus. And the Pats wisely decided to block it out from second one.

So anybody wanna take a stab at what these jaw dropping motives might have been for AH?
I feel like they probably didn't plan to kill this guy. He said or did something while they were out that set them off, and that was that.
This would be my guess. Because there was some uncertainty about whether AHern deliberately shot the first guy, the victim probably said he was going to run his mouth about the shooting being intentional.

Well Warrior, since the quotes have maxed out on the other post, my reply was to the comments about Kraft and the Patriots knowing ahead of time that he was going to be arrested. So please explain how that, or any other posts of mine lose any credibility?
Nearly everyone knows your posts were overly optimistic and homerish for a guy involved in two shootings in the same off-season. Let it go.
There are dozens of posts where guys in here are making crazy assumption as how this thing went down, but my posts have lost credibility?

I never said he was innocent of anything. And if I had to wager on innocent or guilty, I would have bet on guilty... Of course that would mean he was innocent, since I cant seem to win any bets. But it's a bit arrogant to pretend that my posts are any more or less credible to anyone else's.

.
Didn't you call it schtick if anyone thought he was guilty?

I can think of just one or two possibilities where Hernandez can still skate or come out of this with reputation intact. My guess is that evidence could easily blow up both possibilities.

1) It was reported in another thread that Hernandez was dating one sister but has a kid with the sister the deceased was dating. Maybe Hernandez found out the guy was molesting his kid, took matters into his own hands and tried to get away with it.

2) Similar possibility in that Hernandez finds out the deceased was abusing his girlfriend in some way and takes matters into his own hands.

I doubt either is a real possibility, but it wouldn't surprise me to hear one of these two stories at trial.
I don't see how either of these would clear his rep?
You don't think people would be sympathetic to a guy snapping and killing someone that was molesting their kid?

We don't know a whole lot about Lloyd, so I am going to hold off making any judgements. But, based on what we have learned about Bradley, I have my reservations that Lloyd is a stand up guy.

I don't remember that, but I never said he wasn't guilty. My only stance was nobody knew anything, whether guilty or innocent. I even posted more than a few times that it didn't look good for him.

The sister who was dating the deceased is the aunt of his child.

New angle.

AH was a FBGer

AH's only TE's in his big money league are Ballard (also owns Tebow)

Only way to get Ballard on the field was to commit murder and go to jail.

Championship.

You're right about nobody knowing anything, but FF is forward looking and it's our job to make predictions based on what we can guess will happen. With what we know about the murder it didn't look good for Hernandez from the beginning.

Rotoworld:

A league source tells Profootballtalk the Patriots decided "early in the process" to release Aaron Hernandez if he was arrested on any charge related to the Odin Lloyd murder investigation.
In other words, even if the Patriots were expecting "just" an obstruction of justice charge, it wouldn't have made any difference. Hernandez will be officially arraigned at 2PM ET Wednesday. The writing on the wall suggests extremely serious charges.

That can't be true. I was called stupid for suggesting this earlier.

But not a single post about how horrible the Patriots are
yeah, I'm pretty surprised about that
Patriots are horrible.
Honestly, I'm not for or against the Patriots. Based on who they are playing on a given Sunday, it's 50/50 as to whether I am rooting for the Pats.

With that said, I respect the decision of the Patriots to cut AH. If anything it made me like the organization a little more.

agreed. kudos to the pats for not allowing this to linger.

Interesting. Watching live feed and in both instances, when they arrested him and when he was brought to courthouse, the officers leading him were as large, if not larger than Aaron. Aaron is a big boy so the police obviously recruited their "enforcers" to escort him.
