Hernandez convicted of first-degree murder; found deceased in his cell. (4 Viewers)

Shell casing found under driver's seat in AH rental car. #Hernandez #wcvb
How can anyone be that stupid.

This defense attorney is comedy.
Did he open with a knock-knock joke too?
Close.....he asked for bail based on him being a homeowner
To the lawyers defense, there isn't really much he could argue upon for bail. Basically for bail hearings you bring up a defendants ties to the community, job, family, criminal history etc. Not much you can go off of.

Did they provide a motive? I was only able to hear some of the arraignment.
From what I gathered AH basically ordered a hit on him because he "couldn't be trusted." It was tough to make out as the broadcast kind of went in and out. Someone deal free to correct.....

Reading off of the minute by minute account is impressive. It really goes to show you how much technology is making it a lot tougher to get away with stuff.

I really thought that smashing his phone was kind of silly. If you are doing all this stuff after the fact, it's too late, man.

Hernandez planned the murder out great, tracked minute by minute and carries around guns before/after the murder when he knows he has a surveillance system.

A premeditated murder where his planning was laughable.

Defense attorneys look scared, immediately attacking the media circus, using the fact he is a "homeowner" as a reason to let him out on bail.
I wouldn't have any idea, but I assume that's some standard jargon for teh situation they use for everyone
Basically. Arguments for defendants in bail are basically all the same. Married, kids, works in the area, owns a home, etc.

He might be one of the dumbest dudes on the planet.
The crazy part is that I didn't have a clue he was anything close to this bad of a guy. Earlier this year it was coin flip to take him or Nicks in a startup. Chose Nicks but it easily would have been Hernandez.

Tried to listen in at work but couldn't follow everything....are they saying premeditated based on proof that AH was upset over a confrontation they had in Boston, maybe the one reported that happened a couple months ago?

Anyone have a good summary.....besides hes ####ed.

The only thing he forgot was to have surveillance record the delivery of his gun in an ACME box.

Hope you Junior G-Men put away your badges now. You've really embarrassed yourselves in this thread.
I dunno, I think I did better than most. And my badge is made of tinfoil anyway :tinfoilhat:

My favorites were the 'read-between-the-lines' types.

"If the cops had anything, why haven't they arrested him yet, huh? Huh????"

Jesus, they had so much on him, I think the delay was to make sure they had the RIGHT FLAVOR OF GUM HE WAS CHEWING when he capped the poor guy.

Or just leave your cell phone at home all night, and claim you never left. Instant alibi!

basically, the victim was with AHern at a club last week and at some point was talking to a group of guys that Hernandez had a problem with. I'm sure there's more to it than that, but that was the gist of the explanation..

I know you are kidding, but this case is a great reminder that we/you/me are on camera.

After the charges, I walked down 15th St, to 7th Ave, went in a store, got some bread, and walked back. About 100 yards total. Probably photographed six times, MINIMUM.

Would have laughed very hard at this if it was under different circumstances.

Rotoworld:

Ex-Patriot Aaron Hernandez has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Odin Lloyd, and is facing five additional gun charges.
Hernandez has pled not guilty, but is being held without bail. We are not legal scholars — it's surreal for a fantasy football site to have to cover such a senseless and macabre event — but the evidence the Attleboro District Court has collected against Hernandez over the past week appears damning bordering on overwhelming. Hernandez is alleged to have erased 6-8 hours of video footage from his home-security system, and was reportedly caught on tape saying "you can't trust anyone anymore" before picking Lloyd up on the night of the murder. He was also caught on film walking through his home with a gun after the murder is alleged to have taken place, and reportedly left behind a shell-casing in a rental car. The prosecution believes Hernandez "orchestrated" the murder. This is just the first day of what is going to be a long and drawn out legal process, but the odds are remarkably high that Hernandez has played his last down of NFL football.

I thought he did a great job.
I thought throwing in home owner as why someone accused of murder should get bail was an eye opener.
There isn't much you can honestly say. You don't argue the facts of the case really but more of the likelihood of flight. All the same stuff comes up with all hearings. Owning a home or living in the area is a pretty common argument.

Pretty standard basis for bail imo. You have to show roots in the community as a basis for non-flight risk, and home ownership is a pretty standard way to show that.
That attorney, Fee, is the real deal, one of the top guys in Boston. He's no clown.

Seriously... was there more than five minutes that passed where they weren't seen on camera?

I never thought OJ would beat the rap so anything is possible I guess, but sure seems pretty obvious that he killed him.

Would like to know if the Pats had a psych profile conducted for Hernandez before he was signed and before he was given an extension.

Or if, ya know, someone really said that. massraider likes to pump his chest, and sometimes he gets carried away.

In prison, Hernandez will be a mantle piece. You are king of the block when he is your #####. Had he gotten bail, I think we would have seen a suicide. For me, this story is officially over. Hernandez won't ever play in the NFL again. All that talent and money, yet he chose to be a thug. Wasteful.
