However, I don't think it is a given that Miami (or any team, for that matter) strictly stays with a single D approach during the game. They may largely start with one, or have a historical preference (e.g. my Raiders favor m-t-m), but given that the game is so dynamic, adjustments come series-to-series, and half-to-half, so while I like the idea of looking for macro-patterns in a way a team approaches D in general, I'm skeptical that this formula will hold true in terms of deciding whether Gronk or Hern is going to be the better play.
