Hightower (1 Viewer)

I think Mayo is the guy to have on the Pats D, then after that you got a bunch of potential. Hightower, Jones, Spikes, I wouldn't expect any of these guys to be above a tier 3/4 since BB moves the pieces around so much. Maybe Jne will weigh in and shed some more light on this, but that is how I see things at this time.

Spikes is only a 2 down thumper. I like Hightower's potential far more than Spikes. Spikes ran the 40 in like 5.3 or something like that and is unable to cover. I wouldn't doubt it if Spikes is eventually replaced by Hightower. I'd probably have Mayo and Hightower on the inside and just rotate all the other mess they have at OLB.

Spikes does occasionally get more than the 2downs. true his 40 is slow but his game speed is pretty good. he can't man cover but he can hold his own in zone and reaad the QB's eyes. Hightower won't be replacing Spikes, they will be looking to get Hightower on the field in a variety of ways. Bill and the pats staff have already mentioned they think Hightower could be used more as a edge rusher and they are looking for someone to play opposite Ninkovich in those 3-4 alignments

Hightower will be the main thumper I think. He's not quite as fast as Mayo so I see Mayo helping more in the pass rush than in years past.
