The Browns have what every NFL team wants...a fast, hard-running RB that can knock people over, break tackles, AND run away from tacklers.
And yet they have some of the worst play-calling I've ever seen!
Yes, some of their tricks work, and Colt McCoy is playing well for a rookie...good for them. But when you have first and goal at the five and Peyton Hillis in the huddle, why don't you just line up and run the damn ball?
Jets game, week 10, 2nd Qtr, 1st and goal at the five:
1st Down: Shotgun formation...draw play to Hillis -- two yard gain
(Ok, good start...now line up and run two more times! But no...)
2nd Down: Shotgun formation...screen pass to Hillis -- two yard loss
3rd Down: Shotgun formation...incomplete pass
What the HELL?!
You've got a great running back and an offensive line that can block...line up in a standard run formation and RUN!
Cleveland could be one of the best teams in the league if they used Hillis to his full potential.
