I doubt he'll win because most who vote didn't hear the entire speech from each guy. But Rayfield Wright was golden. I voted for him easily.

Agreed! Unfortunately this will be a popularity contest.
agreed,Madden has the edge in popularity and his speech was very entertaining, but Wright's was so passionate I couldn't help but enjoy it. I'm a Giants fan and hated "America's Team" back in the day but yesterday I wanted to stand up and cheer when Rayfield finished.

I've heard several folks make that same kind of statement. That's about as high as praise gets.Great day yesterday for Cowboys fans. Wright especially was class. Great contrast between him and Carson too. Carson whined forever not getting in telling the Hall to take his name off the ballot if they weren't going to vote him in and Wright was patient. Good stuff.J

Wow, I watched his today, and I honestly thought it was one of the worst I've ever heard. He rambled on for what seemed like 2 hours.

They all went long. Tons of people I've talked to and listened to that watched them all and most think Wright was either the best or right up there. :shrug:To each his own though.J

Rayfield and Aikman were my favorite speeches...I like the emphasis of the "team" aspect that both players made. Like the emphasis on education from Rayfield.

I loved Madden's story about the busts talking to each other at night...kind of added to the mysticism of it all for me. Was probably my favorite part of the entire day.

Gotta love Al Davis' loyalty to his organization and players/coaches. That guy eat, sleeps and ####s Raiders football. Getting up there in age though.

To me the Warren Moon story was very compelling...and a clear illustration of how prevalent racism was in pro football into the late 1970's.

I love the guy, but I'm not sure Madden was joking about the busts talking....J

I'm single and have no kids, but I often think about what I'll do with my kids to emphasize the importance of work ethic and having goals.

Watching the HOF induction ceremony is one of those events I'll make sure my kids watch some day...tremendous lessons about life packed into that ceremony.

Seeing it in person, I wasn't sure if I was just biased since I'm a DC fan, so I'm glad to hear that others think Rayfield's speech was great as well.

I didn't like how long all the speeches went. It was way too hot and uncomfortable for them to have gone over as long as they did. When people are being wheeled out on stretchers from heat exhaustion, it's time to move it along. :(

Definitely a great experience regardless - anyone who's a football fan should go at least once.
