Home printer/scanner recommendations (1 Viewer)

Rather than start servicing our current printer, I'm just going to go get another one at this point.  It'll mostly be used to print documents that need to be signed, homework, etc.  Not looking for photo printing but may print occasional pictures from the innerwebs as needed for school assignments.  Also needs to have a scanner.  On average, I'd say we print 1-2x/week.  I don't care if it's fast.  Looking for the following:

--Low cost (ideally in the $40-60 range)
--Low ink cost (this is one of the most important.  Will pay a little more upfront if need be).
--All-in-one (printer, scanner, fax)
--Preferably wireless but not mandatory
--Just works without frequent configuration problems (had one before that would need to be reinstalled regularly to be recognized)

Anyone have one that they like and can recommend that fits the above?  Currently with an Epson printer that has been decent.  Contenders I'm looking at:

Canon Pixma MG3620
Canon Pixma MX492
HP Envy 4520
HP OfficeJet 3830
Epson - Expression Home XP-330

I'm going to pile on since I'm setting up a home office.  Interested in anyones thoughts on something similar but willing to shell out more for speed and can reliably handle more volume.

I bought a brother for work 10 years ago.  All in one, hardly gets used but the second market ink is good and cheap.

I love hp e-print feature. Very convenient

I've had the 4500 (ex wife got it in the divorce), the 8610 (left it in Peru with ex biz partner) and now have a laser mfp 277dw (ink doesn't run on beer labels when wet).

I generally research cost per page and decide from that. In roughly 20 years I've bought hp, never the cheapest machine, but the cheapest per print (at the time), and been happy

Yep, that's what I'm talking about.  Any issues with using 3rd party ink on that machine?  That's what's annoying about the Epson and HP machines I've had.  I've used them but then get error messages about not being genuine ink products.

I had those problems with ink until those shaped cartridges with brother.  I have an older machine but ink is similar.  I bought a ton of them 2 years ago for 50 bucks never a problem and still have a lot left.  We hardly use it anymore due to the paperless nature of business now but get a ton of spam faxes and holds up well.

We're in the market too so :blackdot:

I see you're looking at Canon. One FYI, the reason we're in the market is because our Canon Pixma MG (can't remember the number off hand) got a printer head error, rendering it useless after only about 4 years. It seems to be a major problem with a few of the Canon lines and after exhausting searches it cannot be fixed. Just food for thought.
