Homeland (1 Viewer)

Blowing up the Whitehouse and making love in the ashes would've been more believable than that nonsense. Where can the show even go from here?

The love story is horrible. Why even put that crap in there?

I just chalk it up to milking Brody a half-season too long. It was worth taking a shot. They just ran out of steam with it. I trust they'll turn it around next season.

I'll give Brody credit for one thing. When he gives it to Carrie, he's vicious with it. He abuses that thing like nobody's business. Well done, sir. I'm surprised she's still able to walk.

Thank goodness for this payoff. Like many in the thread I'm sure, I was worried you were going to rationalize it somehow.

I think my favorite part was when Carrie takes them to go get the fake IDs and the Panthers' stadium is fully visible behind her in the shot. Either that or Brody's parting, "Goodbye, my love," as if anyone talks that way, ever.

I was so disgusted by that time that I didn't even notice either of those, just blended in with the rest of the crap.I wasn't in here the first time around. I don't see how anyone could say that was good or even mediocre, though. There was one male being in existence that liked how everything turned out? I don't believe it.

Eta: Sad to think our borders are so unprotected that you could just slip through the woods right after a terrorist attacked killed half of the CIA.

flap, if you're not feeling the gangster thing, skip Boardwalk Empire for now and watch this next.

http://www.thedarewall.com/tv/southland - Start from season 1 on the bottom and work your way up.

Seriously, go watch that show.

Right now.

Why are you still here?
I don't dislike gangster shows. I just love military and spy stuff. Boardwalk Empire is next on my agenda, then either Breaking Bad or the one you just mentioned.

You haven't seen Breaking Bad either??? WTF. What's the address of your cave?

Drop everything and watch BB next. All the other shows can wait!

:lmao: 2 small kids at home. I don't get a lot of extra time to watch tv unless I stay up late to do so. Plus, I just figured out you could watch stuff you miss on OnDemand. :bag:

I was thinking the same thing

It's refreshing to re-live the suckiness of S2 through flap's comments.

The things that were just stupid in that episode.1. Not checking the car for explosives2. Nobody noticing a tahoe being parked right beside the window3. Nobody noticing Carries car was missing4. So Carrie can just waltz back in with no questions asked.5. The whole surveillance or lackthereof at the CIA is hard to accept.Oh and I guess now the theme for next season will be Carrie trying to prove he is innocent with Saul being the antagonist.
:X

It is much better than Homeland and Boardwalk. You atleast watch Thrones, right?

Breaking Bad it is. Will try to get caught up by start of the season. RN said I wouldn't like MM. I'll wait on that one.
MM is a slow burn, the complete opposite of Breaking Bad. You'd probably like Thrones as it falls more into the BB realm than the Mad Men realm.

Killing off Brody at that point would've been a mistake. He's been a huge part of the show. Lewis and Danes have both pulled off their roles fantastically.
Disagree. Killing Brody at the end of S1 would have been very similar to the end of 24 S1. Could have been built on for future seasons.
Brody self detonating would've made for a better show. I don't think him living to run errand boy tasks (pick up this seamstress guy) for the terrorists was worthwhile. Even if he ended up their

Homeland
‪#‎Showtime‬ congratulates ‪#‎Homeland‬ on receiving 11 Primetime ‪#‎Emmy‬ Drama Series nominations – the most nominations for a series in network history! Nominees include: Outstanding Drama Series, Claire Danes (Outstanding Lead Actress), Damian Lewis (Outstanding Lead Actor), Mandy Patinkin (Outstanding Supporting Actor), Morena Baccarin (Outstanding Supporting Actress), Rupert Friend (Outstanding Guest Actor), Henry Bromell (Writing for a Drama Series) and more!

Morena Baccarin for an Emmy???????? Yeah, sure. Now I've heard everything. She is atrocious. What could her Emmy reel possibly have contained? Was the kid who plays Chris also nommed for Most Outstanding Appreciation of Flatscreens?

Trailer for S3 looks like garbage.

Oh, right on with the Emmy nod for Rupert Friend, though. He was money.

Will be watching to see if they can rise above the ten-alarm dumpster fire of last season's finish.
