Homeland (3 Viewers)

It is pretty amazing how both Carrie and Quinn, THE ONLY TWO F-ING EUROPEAN/AMERICAN LOOKING PEOPLE IN THE ENTIRE F-ING PARADE, don't seem to draw a second glance.

And that Haqqani, who ostensibly knows via the ISI that there's a rogue CIA assassin running around trying to take him out, not only exits his compound in the middle of a near-riot situation but then proceeds to ride around town sticking half his body out the moonroof like a 15 year old kid in his first limo on prom night.

They're wearing technologically advanced headgear = undetectable.
Carrie didn't even have her Burqa of Invisibility employed when she was drawing down on Haqqani with a Glock in broad daylight. Somehow, 100 armed guards missed the 7 foot tall woman with the shock of blond hair walking down the street with her gun pointed at their leader.

Thought the show was headed in the right direction two and three episodes back, but then they threw believability to the wind.

- Carrie goes walking around town like she owns the place without consequence. She just had her picture taken by 100 people outside the embassy and we're led to believe that noone is going to recognize her? She goes walking to within 10 feet of al Haqqani without anyone noticing? Plus, she pulls a gun on the guy and noone reacts but her future **** buddy?;

- The hardass, emotionless, sell his mother for a promotion, head of the CIA decides to give away his little black book because he doesn't want to see some woman die? I mean WTF are they trying to sell here - its definitely not realism. I feel dirty that they would believe the viewer is that dumb to believe this nonsense;

- Why in the world would Dar Adel be in the car with Al Harrani anyway? I mean its just so damn stupid;

- Carrie preventing Quinn from killing al Aquiarri is ridiculous as well. "Quinn, I don't want to lose you because you'll get caught by these incompetants who have your picture but let you walk right up to the building where al Zawarri is hanging out." If he can walk right up to this place to set a bomb where there are 100 cops with his picture and then calmly walk away, do you really think he's going to be caught by being 1000 feet way and pressing a button? She knew he had a bomb. Its not like he was going to walk up in the middle of the street with a gun and shoot al Warrari from 10 feet away.

This show has turned totally assinine.

i agree, last episode took a turn for the worse

A trained killer not taking out a notorious terrorist leader because he has a crush on Carrie seems reasonable.
That's the most unreasonable part.

I, for one, would like to see Quinn get back together with Mama Cass.
Not before he tops off Frau Blucher again on the way out of Pakistan.

Bonus points if he says "Alles klar herr commissar" after he's unloaded.

Man oh man I wish I had never started watching this show. I am forced to watch this crapfest every Sunday just to finish the series. At this point I FF the parts with baby, mother, carrie, and carrie's sister. The show only lasts about 10 minutes when I FF so not so painful anymore. Saul becoming the CIA director again :lol:

Yeah, most season finales have a jaw-dropping event that happens, or some sort of cliff-hanger. At the very least, maybe some hints toward what events will unfold in the following season.

Definitely nothing exciting last night, and I can't think of anything that would leave viewers on the edge of their seat. What are we supposed to get excited for? The brother wasn't exactly a bombshell... Who really cares? The foreshadowing makes it seem like something might happen to Quinn. Man, would that suck... What's left of the show if he's gone?

Like someone else said, I almost feel obligated to watch, just on the off-chance that it gets good again. It just hasn't happened, at least not for more than one episode or so. It's like starting Pierre Garcon this year.... You can only tune in for so long, telling yourself that this will be the week, before you just have to look for other options.

Final 3 episodes:

"13 Hours in Islamabad" - pretty much has to be the siege on the Embassy

"Krieg Nicht Lieb" - US making war, not love - getting some revenge on the Taliban and maybe Pakistani ISI

"Long Time Coming" - pick your poison: Carrie gets killed, Carrie becomes human, Saul gets permanent gig as CIA director, Brody comes back to life, for real this time, Carrie and Quinn #### like rabbits
Not bad guesses... :coffee: Missed on the 11th episode, but nailed the finale.

I called to cancel Showtime this morning already. Not that the previous episodes were much, but I was hoping it would turn the corner.

Horrible finale. I felt like I was watching something on Lifetime.

I think that was the biggest problem with the show - the writers did not know if they were writing a show for men or for women - as a result it sucked for everyone.

So I guess the finale wasn't very good but is it worth watching the season?
The season was fun, but the finale wasn't much of a finale. It was like setting off 1 sparkler at the end of a solid 4th of July fireworks display.

The deal with her having this revelation about being able to have a relationship only to be moments too late in contacting Quinn was as trite as anything I've seen on television this year.

I'm so glad Quinn didn't blow up Carrie so we could see more of the ugliest baby in the world and meet its estranged grandmother. I've always known that this show was mostly about awkward family situations more than homeland security. This is like The Middle where terrorism is the setting instead of the story.

I'll say it again, eveytime someone almost detonates a bomb but doesn't, the site gets exponentially worse. I'm sure the season premiere will feature a twenty minute static shot in a Gymboree where Carrie takes a disturbing phone call in between teaching her Quasimodo ginger about sharing and taking turns.

One thing that wasn't answered, is why does the SD card that Adal had of the interrogation with Saul and Haqqani incriminate Lockhart? To where he'd need to step down?

I didn't recall a meeting that took place.

I'm watching the finale right now. I'm really bothered by the fact that carrie's mom appears to have no teeth. Between her and the US diplomat and carrie's crying face, there are some terrifying looking women on this show. And now ferrah is gone? Jesus

But we still have Saul's wife and Quinn's moped.
Holy crap you're right. They're clearly just effing with us at this point

Clair Danes is an A++++ actress.

Finale left lots open. Instant download next season.

Only thing this season was missing was Dana. Not one bad episode.
