***Houston at Jacksonville +7 (48) (1 Viewer)

Ministry of Pain

So I guess this will be one upset call for the early games where I can't make a case for a 1-7 team being a TD fav and then some over anybody, maybe the Jets.

Jacksonville 27...Houston 21

How is Houston laying 7 vs a divisional foe at home coming off a bye ? You telling me Minshew is worth 4-6 points?

Wow. I feel as an owner you need to have this checklist of incompetence and once a coach hits three of them they're gone.
You’d hope. Us Texans fans figured BOB must have had incriminating photo’s. Zero reason to keep him around so long, much less give him the GM reins last year. Now we just have to hope whomever takes over can dig us out of the hole he dug. The offense has the pieces so with better coaching there is a shot.

But it's totally believable and understandable going into this game.

I would imagine you didn't play them because you might have 2-3 ahead of them that are weekly Top20 Projected guys like Hill, Brown, Kupp, etc...

Deep shot to Fuller triggers PI. Some runs by Watson, then a 1yd punch in by Duke puts the Texans up 7. 98 yard drive.

Claybrook with a big return, two quick shots gets JAX into FG range to narrow it to 4 going into the half.

random Q for those who are watchin, is scottie  phillips getting any snaps?  didnt see him on inactive list but certainly not on teh stat sheet either.

LOL Luton doesn't even have a real jersey... Looks like an iron-on name plate that is peeling off. Kudos to him for a good game.

Why would you not kick those FG's if you're Houston?  Put the game away rather than make Jax go 20 extra yards?  So frustrating.

Crennel punted from the JAX 39 and netted 19 yards with a touchback. No point in leaning on one of the worst defenses in the league that is down multiple starters. Jags run down the field and almost pull off the win.

Crennel sucks as an interim head coach. He's made a bunch of conservative bonehead choices since taking over. Edit: He's just keeping the seat warm for now.

Well HOU didn't cover, but did eke out the win.
