How did I do with my dynasty rebuild? (1 Viewer)

Finished dead last last season.  Horrible year.  In a rebuild.  Here is my team for 2017 let me know your thoughts:

qbs: arodg, Palmer, trubisky (couldn't believe I got trubisky in the auction and he didn't get drafted in the rookie draft)

rbs: Rawls, Doug Martin, mccaffery, Jonathan williams, deandre Washington, Dwayne Washington, de'angelo henderson

wrs: Hopkins, Pryor, tyrell williams, marquise Goodwin, marqise lee, Dede Westbrook, Kevin white

TEs: Evan Engram, Julius thomas, Ebron, cj fiedoroeicz

def: eagles and chargers

I spent a ton to anchor my team with arodg until trubisky gets going.

I got the rest of my players on the cheap for the most part. I let the older more established players go and won on the young up and coming talent.  I think I can be a playoff team this year but won't go far.  But I feel like I positioned myself to make real noise in 2018.

Thoughts?

Yea I think this is a good start and you should improve from last year. Palmer seems like a good trade-able guy once Trubisky starts the inevitable rise. I'm a hopeful Bears fan and like the approach that the staff has shown to him. Most important year for Kevin White. RBs are kind of lacking and I'd be interested in what j. williams is doing for you post cut. Maybe get Jalen Richard to lock up Oak backfield if he is around.

Ok, I'm going to go position by position to answer your question. I'm going to preface my following comments by saying I don't know your draft, auction or waiver rules so you'll have to take my comments accordingly.

QB: I like the mix of established guys and a rookie, although I would have preferred to see Mahomes, Watson, or Kizer over Trubisky.
RB: This is a mess. McCaffrey was a great grab and Deandre Washington I like, but the rest are dumpster fires. Rawls is in AT LEAST a 3-way RBBC and with Carson coming on, possibly 4. It's as bad as the mess in NE.
WR: Very nice blend here, although I'm not entirely sold on Hopkins or White because of the QB situations. If Trubisky works out and White can finally show why he was a #1 draft selection you might have something. I really like the quantity of rookie WRs you have here.
TE: Too many and blah, nothing to set you apart from the also-rans in your league and you're going to lose pts to the teams with elite TEs. Also, by not picking up a rookie like Howard, you don't have much for the future. This, along with RB will need to be your priority in next year's draft.
DEF: Eagles play the Giants, Cowboys, and Redskins twice and the Chargers have rebuilt that defense so many times they resemble WalMart.

You have a lot of work to do, but there are bright spots. I'd say you're probably in the middle to bottom third in your league. I know that's not what you wanted to hear, but that's my honest assessment which is why you came here I hope.

I'll give you a chance to take a shot at mine:
