How do you feel about Cutler now? (current info on pg 46) (1 Viewer)

Cutler will never develop. He's all potential, but will never be a guy who reads defenses, picks teams apart, or learns from his mistakes. And his personality won't change. He'll always be a cocky, it's everyone else's fault, bad leader.

He's Jeff George with a better haircut.

It would help a ton if he got an effective team around him - Hester should never be on the field at WR and the OC consistently cannot get plays in on time.

Hard to develop a rythm

I still like Cutler as a top 15 QB. I think Tice has really screwed him over with his play calling.
I thought it was martz that was screwing him over.just saw an interesting stat over at profootballfocus -- apparently brady got the ball out an average of 2.24 seconds in that houston game, which was tops for the nfl this season.just sayin'

So there. I honestly don't get the Cutler hate. He finally has some weapons. I'd love to see Andy Reid in there. I think their skills and philosophies would mesh nicely.
I actually agree with this though probably not popular with other Bear fans. I would be excited if this were to happen.

Cutler set the Bears career completions record on Sunday.
Great track record for QBs, that franchise.
No doubt. Who did he pass, the Superbowl Shuffle-ing QB?
Sid Luckman

I think the front office deserves a lot of the blame for Cutler's struggles. I think it was stupid for them to get rid of Greg Olsen because he didn't fit into the Martz system. Especially when it was widely expected back in the preseason of that year that Martz wasn't going to extend his contract with the Bears.

Front office deserves all the blame.Front office, wide receivers, coachrs, o-line, and probably the hotdog vendors

That 50yd back shoulder throw to Marshall is not something many guys in the league can do, maybe no one. The guy finally has a coach who knows offense.

Feels different this year. Haven't seen him this poised and sure since he go to Chicago. Keeping fingers crossed.

That throw + the TD throw to Bennett were both a thing of beauty.

Still mad at Bud Adams for choosing Vince Young over Cutler. Why not choose the local kid?

What's the feeling regarding Cutler the rest of the way?

He is top 10 or 12 QB right now and has had a pretty tough schedule for QBs

He is pretty loaded with receiving weapons (Marshall, Jeffrey, Bennett, Forte) and has a nice schedule the rest of the way including Dal (w14) & Phi (w16) in the playoffs.

I think he will finish top 6 - 8

well, if he's 12 now, wouldn't he need to be about top 4 the rest of the way to finish 6th?

or did you mean 6-8 from this point on?

ps

he's still an overrated idiot, to answer the question.

This is the worst D the Bears have had in years. They are going to have to win in shootouts. Jay is a slinger and should produce solid Fantasy numbers the rest of the way. I still think he is going to have a couple garbage games down the stretch. A lesser Romo/Stafford type, but I can see a top 10 finish.

Don't mind him. He doesn't understand most things.

Actually he is currently 11th in my league.

9 & 10 - 3 points behind Stafford (Calvin's having knee issues) and Bradford (Team Sux)

8th - Vick - Who is injured

7th - Luck - Who is not throwing the ball

6th - Matt Ryan - Who has all kinds of WR issues

The only ones clearly ahead of him are

Peyton

Romo

Brees

Rivers

Rogers

I'm in a ten man redraft and Cutler is sitting there on the waiver wire tempting me because I have Stafford and no one else as a back up.

I'm seriously considering picking him up and starting him this week against the Giants ahead of Stafford.

- multiple targets for him to throw to

- pass happy offence

- Giants are pretty bad

The omens seem to be quite good for him putting up big numbers this week.
