how about 4 at a time, a slight pause, but no wait for acknowledgment?
Usually this but sometimes the other person acknowledges the first set quickly so I end up waiting after each set.

Use Amex. Can't remember the last time I had to read off the # to someone though. I would just buy my stuff from someone else if I had read off the damn number
You’ve never registered for something over the phone? Last time I did this was for a campsite on a military installation. Their only way to reserve is over the phone.

You guys are harsh. Is “niner” OK? I wish there were letters  in there so I can pretend I’m calling for air support.

If it starts off the sequence , I say  ZERO  (0195)

If it’s a double, I say both ZERO’s (0095, 1005)

If it’s aesthetically pleasing to me, a solo ZERO gets read as an “oh” (1051). Less syllables.
Niner is only okay if you also use “fower”.

Years ago I provided my cc info over the phone for work done on my car so I could pick up my car after hours.

This is a garage I've used for many years and I totally trust them.

I realized there was something else I needed that wasn't included earlier so maybe an hour later I was on the phone again. When I asked if he was ready for my cc number he said he didn't need it because he still had it on a post-it from before.
