For your main league, how do you guys handle setting rosters for Thursday games?

I think all of mine are the same - you must activate players you want for Thursday games, but after that can switch any of the players who have not yet played. So essentially you are submitting a full lineup, but only the players on those six teams will be locked into the active or reserves on Thursday.

There's no excuse to NOT provide flexibility in lineups up until that players gametime IMHO.

In my keeper league it is little different as far as FA are concerned.

We get pts and have to make blind bids for our FA usually due by Fri and now that is due by Wed. Thurs players are only ones that have to be in by Thurs kickoff but you can not pick up FA after Wed for Sun.

Every week, the whole player pool "locks" into position--starter, bench, free agent, whatever--5 minutes before kickoff of each players game.

If you have someone you want to add, drop, start, or bench, you have until 5 minutes before their game to make the change. Of course, you can only add someone if you have someone else to drop who also hasn't played yet.

Since our league allows roster moves on Sunday or even Monday if players haven't played yet--on MNF, for example, it's possible to swap two MNF players. BYE week players lock at first game kickoff, however.

We talking rosters or starting lineups?

Our rosters lock at kickoff Thursday (i.e. no more trades, FA's). Our lineups lock at individual kickoffs.

All transactions must be done before kickoff of first game of the week and all lineups must be submitted by kickoff of first game of the week.

Its a pain and now with the Thursday games for the rest of the season, this is a rule that must be changed for next season.

My main league just changed the rules this year so that the entire roster was not frozen for thursdays games as it was in the past. Not only was it prior to the first game but you had to have you roster setup 1hr before the first kickoff. It made no sense that every single player had to set their lineup regardless if the player was playing or not

1 league - can change non-Thursday players after Thurs

Hard to say which one is my "main" league

2 keeper league : change waivers to wednesday night , lineups : players are game time
