How fast would a pitcher need to throw in the majors to be utterly dom (1 Viewer)

Not sure how accurate the article was, but I saw something that said cadaver arm bones break with a torque similar to a 106 mile per hour pitch. So 105 might be the human limit for pitching speed. Consistently, anyway. I'm sure you could go over that once or twice and get lucky.
That's the real limiting condition here. A pitcher's arm might shatter before we start reaching some of these speeds you people are talking about.
Chimp/orangutan/spider monkey arm transplant?
I look forward to the Robot Baseball League.

105-110 MPH would do it.

As someone said earlier, 102 MPH is the fastest pitch any player has ever gotten a hit off of. Everyone assumes that a hitter would adjust, but they forget that the pitcher will adjust too. He's not gonna throw right down the center of the plate every time. 105 MPH at the letters is a different pitch and requires a different reaction than 105 MPH at the knees. Changing eye level, adjusting how long he holds it before throwing, etc. Then, if a batter really does seem to figure out the timing, you throw one in on his hands and see if he's willing to set himself up early enough to hit it again after that.
Bonds in his prime against Chapman would be an awesome must see matchup.
