How is the crowd at the GA Dome (to opposing fans)? (1 Viewer)

When I moved here in '93, Falcons games were blacked out on TV unless they were playing the Cowboys or 49ers. It's completely a fair weather fan base. The Vick & Ryan/Julio eras have increased their following quite a bit, but I still saw a lot of empty seats upstairs last night. And it was at least 40% eagles fans. Couple of 4-12 seasons, it'll go back to how it was, $10 tickets on the 50 yard line.
No way it was 40% Eagles fans. Maybe 10-1 was a little overstating, i don't know, but there was a huge majority of Atlanta fans.

He said upstairs. Saints fans have dominated the GA Dome before, I could see certain portions being taken over. Typical really.

I've been to Indianapolis, KC, Chicago, and Minneapolis as a visiting fan, and I've been treated nicely at all of those places. One guy in KC gave my son a very gentle ribbing about being a Bills fan, but even that was friendly and good-natured. Of course, we're not the jackasses who stand up and taunt the crowd every time the ball bounces our way.

Ended up paying $52+fees. There were a few lowers for $80 but they were endzone. We got Prime Upper, which is basically between 40's and in first 15 rows (we were in row 10) for $52. Ended up being pretty good seats. Great view of everything and not too far away. When I went in there were upper corners and upper endzone in the $28-$35 range. sideline lowers never dipped under the $120 range.

It's weird though, it amazes me that someone would rather eat a ticket than drop the price. There were a ton of lowers available and even 15 minutes after kickoff (checked on a tv timeout) they were still really high priced.

I had theater tickets once and dropped down to less than half price in the last hour because I figured half of what I paid is better than nothing. They sold and I was happy they did. I understand trying to get all you can for a ticket but if the game is about to start or has started and there are hundreds or thousands of tickets available, it's time to drop or eat it and most people seem to just eat the ticket. Weird.

Our tickets were around $80 until kickoff, a few in that section dropped to $50 right at kickoff. I bought right at kickoff, we ended up missing our first 3 and out and the Falcons first drive for a field goal. Less than 5 minutes total.

I didn't see face painters but there was a guy who looked about 6'4" and 400lbs who had on a little kids Eagles helmet, it was pretty funny looking. I couldn't believe he squeezed his head into it, he looked a bit wobbly to begin with. It did not look like a sober wardrobe choice.

We were lower level, northeast corner end zone (so the Eagles bench was to our right) and there were equal numbers of both fans in our section. Looked like Eagles' players families in our section which may have skewed things.
