How many championships have your teams won? (1 Viewer)

Braves have 1 since I’ve been alive.

My alma mater has 3, 2 of which since I graduated.

Falcons get like half credit for a few years back, right?

Grew up in NJ, and moved down to DC for college in the late 90s.  Remained loyal to NY/NJ teams until early-2000s or so and then gradual shift to DC...

NY Yankees - 4 (96-00 run)

Nats - 0 (may edit soon)

NJ Devils - 3

Capitals - 1

Nets/Wizards - 0

Giants - 2 (Too young for 1986.  I'll give them 1990 and 2006. I won't give them 2011. While if someone asked me my favorite NFL team, I'd still say Giants, that's around where I stopped being a diehard. I haven't switched to the Washington football team; more agnostic these days.)

Good job leaving the lions off.  No reason to list a big freaking zero.
Well yeah.  Same with jayhawk football and my undergrad.

I should have included the wolverines, 1997 but I was basically forced to be their fan growing up.

Browns 0....I liked Barry Sanders as a kid so I adopted the Lions as a second team.  That bumps my total up to 0.

Indians 0...so many good teams, so many choke jobs

Cavs 1...🎉

Nordiques/Avalanche 2....I started watching hockey when upper deck came out with hockey cards lol(90?).  I just kind of picked a random team.  I still have an old Nordiques hat.  I admit though that hockey is a way distant 4th for me.  Other than random playoff games I've barely watched at all in the last 10ish years.

Good question...makes me realize how different Champs from my childhood hero teams like the Lakers are from my truly committed to hometown teams are.

8 total - Bama 6 / Bucs 1 / Lightning 1

I will always cherish them no matter how many.

Same, but I don't count hockey, not matter the league. It's like soccer on ice.
  I love people who "don't count hockey"

How is it "soccer on ice?" With the exception of tying to put 'something into a net" the 2 sports (oh wait can I call it a sport?) are nothing like each other.

Are you  honestly going to tell me that a baseball game is more exciting than a hockey game?

Love people counting “since I was born”.

Im sure you cherish the memories of your mom pulling the bottle out of your mouth to let cheer at the TV when your guy scored

But I'm wondering how many teams of the 4 major sports (sorry soccer nerds) that you rooted for have won while you were a fan.  ......

I'm just trying to figure out how many championships most people get to celebrate.

I agree, all three sports are boring. I only liked baseball for the period when the Braves were dominant.

Only 3 major sports for me, no hockey.  So...

Rams-  99 was the only but 2 more SB’s since.

Spurs- 99 (was a good sports year for me), 03, 05, 07 and 14

Padres - no wins but 2 WS appearances

Grew up on MA and RI border. Really just started getting into watching pro sports in 83-84, watching with my pop.

Mid 80s was a nice run with some horrible disappointments sprinkled in (86 sox, 85/86 patriots)

That I remember:

Celtics: 3 (F the 85 Lakers)

Red Sox: 4 (F the 03 Yankees)

Bruins: 1 (F the 13 Hawks & 19 Blues)

Patriots: 6 (F the Giants in general)

So 14 titles in about 35 years of sports fandom of teams purely from my home city... albeit heavily concentrated recently.

90’s weren’t ideal.
Same for me, and same timeframe (watched Celts in ‘84, but not ‘81)

plus 3 titles for Duke bball since 94
plus Liverpool’s champions league win last year.
Total: 18 titles, 35 years, 6 sports

I forgot to list my daughter's 9 yo softball team.  Also, those 3 times I won at Monopoly back as a kid in my bother's bedroom.  And speaking of Monopoly, I also won a large fry from the McDonald's Monopoly game twice.
