How many of the pros live in New York? (1 Viewer)

I wonder how many just lost their full time jobs due to the states attorney?

I have to imagine they're renting an apartment across state lines as I type this, it's too lucrative to give up most likely.

This week might have a lot of overlays, but next week won't.

I bet the pros move their residence.

By next weekend, this game will be 10% harder to beat IMO

If I'm a pro living in NY, I'm pulling all my DFS monies immediately.

I have to imagine this refers to PayPal...and, if it does, I want to ensure that my funds aren't locked up in some irretrievable web of legalities in the near future.

To try to milk out one more week just isn't worth the risk, IMO. Many of these high-volume guys have millions of FPP's on their respective sites, so they would be wise to redeem those points for entries this weekend, use that as their action, and hope to be able to withdraw whatever money is won again next weekend.

This is surely happening. There's a disconnect with so many states in America being so large that people may not understand, but it is so very simple and such close proximity for them to be in another state.

A giant portion of New Jersey's and Connecticut's population commutes to NYC every day.

PA seems to have these issues brewing so I doubt they go there. Connecticut has some very nice Native American casinos but I would guess they want to be in NJ- the state where Atlantic City is and gambling law changes aren't so easy to pass.

Do they need a bank account? Or just "hey buddy, can I claim I rent a room from you?" and change the address on their paypal account?

I agree anyone should use their FPP's immediately, as I believe in Nevada they were not allowed to redeem those after the ban.

However, the money is safe and if anything is banned players will still be able to be paid back quickly. Of course, if someone has a bunch of excess money in their account as compared to what they plan to play with it would be prudent to withdraw then just redeposit if necessary, however, these are all domestic companies run by domestic employees using our financial system, it is nothing like trying to track down a foreign off-stie poker company then seizing their funds not knowing who they belong to.

Think all you'd have to do is change the address tied to the CC that you use for the sites and then just hop on the PATH/Metro North each day.

I am thinking of using my inlaws Canadian address for the FD verification. Or my brother's MD address. Or the address of my ski house in Utah. I am Canadian but live in the US.

Anyone have any thoughts? Is there any precedent to them seizing the funds?
