A lot of mocks overvalue QBs, RBs and WRs since most of us are thinking about fantasy football and not the real NFL.

Take your best guess on how many RBs go in Rd 1.

I don't see it as being any different from the amount of RBs that have 1st round grades... 4. This is largly because even if some of them fall, I think there a enough good teams drafting late that want/need to add RBs.

I voted 3. I can see one of White/Marony slipping to the 2nd since there are several other prospects that rank near/just below them. Teams can wait until the 2nd and still get good value.

DEN, IND and ????
Car, Pit... Possibly Jack, NYJ, NYG.
PIT makes sense in that group of White gets passed DEN/IND(I don't think he will but opinions of him swing wildly) but I don't think any of the others you've mentioned go RB in round 1.
With these teams having the following picks:25, NYG - Barber old, Jacobs not the answer

27, Car - Need to get someone to spell, come in when Foster gets injured again.

28, Jack - Taylor getting old and not staying healthy with not much behind him IMO.

29, NYJ - Martin's wheels are falling off and is Houston really the guy?

30, Indy - People seem to agree there.

32, Pit - Looking for a power guy and better between the tackles runner to spell Parker/replace Bettis and Staley (when he gets hurt again  ).

I don't find it hard to believe at all that one of the RBs grades out as the BPA to them and all should have an interest in the position.

Four.

Hou (Reggie Bush); SF (DeAngelo Williams); Ind (Maroney); Pit (Lendale White).

Could be five. But I think Joseph Addai falls into 2nd round territory.

NYG - Are a contender and the only RB that compliments Barber is White. Probably a better idea to get a position player that might put them over that hump than just have a RB sit on the bench behind Barber for a year or more.CAR - " Foster "

PIT - " Parker "

Only one of those teams can draft White and White may not be available for any of them.

JAX - I actually just disagree here. They seem comfortable with Jones/Pearman to me and on top of that they still have Taylor under contract.

NY - So many holes you could argue they'll draft just about any position other than WR.

Everyone assumes IND/DEN are locks to take RB's but I'm not even so certain of that. IND wouldn't surprise me if they took a CB and there are talented CB's at that pick. DEN.... Shanny.... who knows? I won't even guess but if anyone is sure they know what Shanny will do next they probably shouldn't be listened to.

We'll see. For some reason this draft seems more interesting than most.

NYG: Would take De'Angelo Williams, possibly Laurence Maroney. Both these guys would be groomed to replace Tiki Barber in '07 and beyond. Think Steven Jackson-Marshall Faulk relationship. Carolina: Would take Lendale White. Eric Shelton would be pissed.

Jacksonville: Could take any of the 3 RBs.

Jets: Lendale probably only RB suited.

Indy: De'Angelo fits. Maroney fits. Addai fits.

Pit: Lendale White the only possibility. If he lasts this long, he'll be taken by the Steelers w/o a doubt.
