So I had my 12-team roto draft last night and as usual did almost zero prep. I picked 9th and it was a snake draft.

SP: C Lee, A Sanchez, Iwakuma, Haren, E Santana, Straily

RP: Holland, Perkins, Jim Johnson

C: Molina

1B: Fielder, V Mart, Lind

1B/OF: Cuddyer

OF: Choo, Soriano, Venable, T Hunter, Rasmus

2B: Cano

SS: Hardy

2B/SS: Lowrie

3B: Donaldson

I messed up and don't have a backup 3B - who would you let go out of this bunch. Is this team any good?

Yeah I kinda eschewed SBs to take higher OPS guys.

In this format you don't need a backup 3b, Donaldson scares the crap out of me this year though. If you can platoon Soriano/Venable/Rasmus could work, but if this is weekly I think you are going to have a weekly wsis headache.

Overall, not a bad template to work from, especially with zero prep.

Yeah, don't expect the same production from Donaldson.

How many players do you start?

The back end of your rotation might need some help right away with Iwakuma hurt and Straily fighting for a job.

It's a daily lineup league. That's why I like having backups as I can plug 'em in and get a few extra games at those spots. 5 benched. Usually I go 5 SP, so have 6 with one starting the year late is survivable.

Straily was an accident. Actually had planned to get Lackey there (it was round 22). i don't love his ratios.
