Huard question (1 Viewer)

He played well yesterday and they won. LJ has turned the corner on running.

Why is he looking over his shoulder? Last year in replacing Green he did better than adequate.

Thoughts?

Probably because he's something 34 years old and KC knows he's not the long term answer at QB. So if they drop out of the playoff picture why not start Croyle and see what they have?

He played really well yesterday... actually outplayed Carson Palmer!! However, Cincy's Def is atrocious, while KC's is vastly improved and in the top 10 in Passing Def. I was impressed none the less.

Croyle is the future however, and Huard does know that if he plays poorly, or the team has no chance for the postseason, then Croyle will be in and Huard's stint (small at that) as a starter is over... probably for good!!

That is what the Chiefs brass wants to happen....the fact is that Trent Green was productive till he was 36 in KC...Huard could still be a good QB for 2-3 more seasons.....especially if KC gets the OL figured out.

Croyle looks like dung, do they really think he is the long term answer in K.C. ? From what I have seen, I think they will be looking elsewhere in the near future to replace both

Bump. Can someone asked what is Huard's celing this year if he plays the entire season? Is he a good FF play? QBs are at a premium in my league and now I'm down to Warner and Griese as my starters.

If I recall Huard played well last year until being yanked for Green late last season. I haven't heard much about this guy. Is anyone starting him this week?

Chiefs homer and Huard owner in 3 leagues (as a backup).....Even in my 16 team leagues, Huard is a borderline starter each week. There are a couple of factors that are in Huards favor the rest of the way.....Emergence of Dwayne Bowe, and the running game showing signs of getting it right (vs. CIN, @ SD)But KC has one of the worst OL's in the league so week in and week out, you never know how they will perform, which means Huard is a shaky start in any week.I would say in any given week, Huard could be anywhere from QB10 to QB 25. Last week was one of those QB10 games. This week? I don't think anyone can say with confidence.

Appreciate the response. I guess I'll stick with Griese and Warner for now. Huard is the LAST viable starter on the WW with all of the injuries this year and with Warner hurt, I was trying to decide who would be the best producer down the road. Again, my thanks for your insight.

In my league, both Griese and Huard are top-5 QBs over the past 3 weeks. I think I'd rather have a healthy Huard than a banged-up Warner.
Huard has produced these numbers in my PPR league. Scoring is 1pt per 20yds passing 6pt for all TDs4 20.20 at Chargers 5 6.80 vs Jaguars 6 25.20 vs Bengals Your saying this is top 3 numbers in your league?

Probably not since he said Huard was a top 5 quarterback.

I just checked this out He's top 7 in my league but the difference between top 5-7 is fractional pts......hmmmmVery good point. Think I'm gonna pick him up!
