HUGE Trade... Johan for Holliday (1 Viewer)

I have a huge trade brewing in my points league and I need some advice on it. I really need pitching and the Johan owner and I were talking hypothetically about a trade for Santana. He said he would do Johan and Chris B Young for Holliday and Todd Jones.

I am pretty well set in the OF with Dye, Ordonez and Damon, though Damon's injuries scare the heck out of me. I would plug in CBY, Rolen, Sexson or M Giles in at Util. My staff would then be Johan, Hamels, Rich Hill, Capuano, Garland, Chuck James and Jorge Sosa but I would have Wickman and Duchscherer as RPs (holds = saves). I listed the scoring below if you want the specifics.

I love the idea of landing Johan, especially given my staff troubles but do you think Holliday + Jones is worth it?

K: .75pts

Hitters:

Hits, TB, R, BB, IBB, HBP: 1pt each

SB: 1.5pts

K: -.5pts

AB: -.25pts

C: Pudge 1B: Lee 2B: Uggla 3B: Cabrera SS: Guillen OF: Holliday, Damon, Dye Util: Ordonez

SP: Hamels, Hill, Capuano, Garland, James, Jorge Sosa

RP: Jones, Wickman, Duchscherer (Note: Holds = Saves)

Bench: Rolen, Sexson, M Giles

DL: Schmidt, Loewen, Millwood

I'd do it right now before he has a chance to take it off the table. Regardless of what you'll hear from others on this board about hitters > pitchers, Johan is the #1 fantasy baseball player as long as he's healthy.

tommyGunz is not correct about Santana, but he is correct about this trade. I would do it.

That scoring system seems to be pitcher-heavy... I'd do it, assuming there are pitching limits and/or it's not a daily league.

I too would make this trade......Santana is a monster in point leagues.

Get him now while his stock is low.....he always starts out slow......HUGE 2nd half pitcher.
