Hurting at TE? Who emerges in the coming weeks? (1 Viewer)

Lots of the guys projected to be in the top 8 or so TEs have fallen far short so far (Witten, McMichael, Cooley, Watson, etc.). Who will step up in the coming weeks?

Wiggins - got more looks yesterday. If teams sell out to stop Chester Taylor, as BUF did, Wiggins might get more dump offs.

Troupe/Scaife - when Young threw yesterday, he threw to TEs. But this team is just terrible and won't be in the red zone very often.

Wrightster/Lewis - TEs getting looks in this offense, especially with Matt Jones hobbled. But will having two guys divide up the numbers? Or will Lewis emerge in time?

Jeremy Stevens - Will be back soon, possibly in week 6 after the bye. Will he share time with Mili? Will the introduction of the 4 WR sets cut into his playing time?

Klopfenstein - Caught his first TD yesterday. What will he do from here on out?

Daniel Graham - active yesterday, but will he take a larger role than Watson?

I picked up Alex Smith in a competitve 16 team league last week. Hoping he becomes the safety valve for Gradkowski as he learns on the job.

Why would a weak TE become the safety valve instead of, say, a WR coming off an 83-reception, 10-TD season with a second-year player at QB?

Because Galloway is more of a downfield threat and less likely to be there for dump-off passes once the protection inevitably breaks down?

:goodposting: The Bucs have been keeping their TEs in pass protection, but Smith should get his share of catches going forward.I also imagine Wiggins is on a lot of waiver wires. If Minn's OL looked as bad as I've been reading, Wiggins will be a favorite underneath target for Johnson.
