I am sick of this Rice bull crap (1 Viewer)

Haven't heard "bullcrap" in a while.
Always makes me want to cringe. It's usually old angry white guys who call into radio stations and emphasize "crap" like they're being a gentleman for not saying the dirty word that would upset the wife out in the garden.

More than a grown man using 'whatevs'?

I've had enough of this. I'm going to make myself a sammie.

Nomnomnomnomnom

Why isn't the NFL kicking everyone out of the league who has been convicted of domestic violence or for any sort of assault against a woman? Why isn't social media outraged over those people playing today?

We need video to demand action.

True, but I just wondered if a conviction in a court of law would meet that ultimate standard video provides the outrage machine.

The NFL responds to potential revenue loss. If a video upsets the paying public, that's going to carry more weight.

You understand that's the issue I have with all of this, right?

Which part of "this"?

Is your problem with the NFL caring about possible revenue loss? Is your issue that many people seeing the video think it's pretty horrible? Is your issue that the NFL should care about possible revenue loss, but not in this case?

My issue is with social and 24 hour media deciding who gets what punishment. My issue is with the same people up in arms over Ray Rice cheering for players possibly on their own team with a domestic violence conviction on their record (or worse). My issue is with people being less pissed off about players coming back into the NFL after killing people under the influence, but they think Ray Rice should be banned from the league for life.

...all because they watched a terrible assault on video.

I understand that's your issue. I just don't understand why it's your issue. What is so baffling about the fact that a business would react to something based upon its customers' reactions?

So your issue is with the fickleness of people. Good luck solving that one.

The NFL decides who gets league punishments. Courts decide who gets legal punishments. None of that has changed.
