Everything they are doing makes sense to me now, and I was one of their harshest critics. Even going for it on almost every 4th down. This is a calculated move by BB with the thought that if they go for it every time, in the long run they will score a lot more points than settling for field goal attempts. This only works if you have the most efficient offense in the history of the game. Can't debate what "other" coaches would do in this situation - doesn't matter - they don't have the talent/system to pull it off with a high enough conversion percentage to make it work.
The starters sat out most of the 4th quarter. Brady finished his drive just like he did vs. Washington. No problems with that at all.
They are not a running team - and therefore they run their offense until the starters are pulled. They pass not to run it up. They pass it because that's what they do.
The injury threat is real, but it seems like as many guys get injured in Thursday practice as Sunday's games, so I don't know if that argument holds water either.
Brady is just too good with these weapons. The league is going to have to step up BIG time or they may win more 3-4 SB's in a row, becoming the all-time dynasty in pro football.
