Pre-season projections
Colin Dowling
Arian Foster, Hou - Despite a well-deserved reputation as a passing team in 2009, Gary Kubiak's Texans actually have had some success running the ball. Last year, the running backs combined for about 2,000 total yards and 18 touchdowns. With Ben Tate hurt and Steve Slaton still fumbling the ball, Foster should be the guy that emerges as the lead back. 1500 total yards and double-digit touchdowns wouldn't be remotely shocking.
Chris Smith
Shonn Greene, NYJ - Everybody has him ranked from 13th to 38th overall this season but I have him as my 3rd best fantasy player this year. I think many folks are hesitant to jump him up in the rankings thanks to the presence of veteran LaDainian Tomlinson in the lineup. Tomlinson's skills have eroded however and he was dreadful last season while Shonn Greene became stronger as the year wears on. I see big-time numbers for him running behind the best run blocking offensive line in the NFL.
